I do not dislike the XSX design (albeit I would like to remove the stand when it sits horizontally) as it is not comical like the PS5 one (user replaceable plates are a God send at least), but the matte finish does not look great... JPEG artefacts make it look bad and it still gathers quite and bit of fingerprints and dust too. It looks tons better in the original promotional videos, would have liked a better finish :/...

Oh man I can’t stand glossy finish ....even the PS5, that glossy center....... I might plan on using a green scotch-brite pad to make it more of a perfectly neat matte finish (without ruining the icons for the ports, etc) if they don’t have matte or clear type covers for the center which I think D-brand already does have. Matte all day though otherwise lol.

Yeah, they LOOK fine...but that's now. I just keep thinking how dusty and dirty they will look over time as the plastic inevitably darkens and yellows.

I don’t like the light colors either due to my OCD with their being dusty/dirty lol. I think the chemical makeup of the plastic is key though. In fact my favorite kind are the “Action Grip Cover” you can usually find online or Walmart, etc:

Comes in Red, Blue, Black and Gray. I’m really hoping they have these for the DualSense. They’re perfect until I find something even better.

Back then the plastics would turn piss yellow over time but now I don’t think that would happen too much but I’ve no basis for this, just the assumption that they’ve gotten better at making plastic that won’t do that. Even still, I plan on painting some kind of art on mine if I don’t get a cover.
