Nintendo Direct | Xenoblade 3 announced

One thing I hoped they learned from pervious games is better UI design. I LOOOVE their games but man they are not good at deigning UI, Xenoblade Definitive Edition is in right direction.

I'm over 160 hours in Xenoblade 2, I'm having a break from it since I'm a little burned out but I want to stop whenever I get all the blades and maybe kill some lvl 100+ monsters... I'm hyped as fuck for this game but I'll prob wait for next year untill I clear up my mind, I'm yet to play Xenoblade 1 Future Connected which I will sometime this year.

Edit: I hope they don't change names at least for Japanese VA options... I HATED IT to death in X2...

Most likely will be better. They seems keeps improving after Xenoblade X's UI critic lol

Now I'm definitely sure she is Nia, look at her core crystal, she is a Flesh Eater.

Guess the creator got this chance to make something like the xenosaga games once again after all, good for him but it better be the last unless a major overhaul is in order to wow ME again.
FTFY...

I see many characters who clearly are ancestors or something to previous games main characters/Villains.

Nia, Melia, Van Dam, Akhos, Amalthus... Who else have I missed?.

Didn't played the expansion. By the time I heard it went deep with the lore, making it better. Don't know if you're considering that, but I stick with my opinion regarding the main narrative of the game.

looks better than 2 visually and the performance too, and that's enough for me because that was my only complain of the second game.

Message from the executive director

Hi everyone, this is Tetsuya Takahashi from MONOLITHSOFT.

Just over four years since the release of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and one and a half years since the release of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, we now bring to you news regarding the latest game from MONOLITHSOFT: Xenoblade Chronicles 3. As the name indicates, it's the third installment in the Xenoblade Chronicles series. We are currently making final adjustments to ensure we create the best game possible based on everything we've learned from the past entries in the series.

The key visual features a broken great sword of Mechonis and the body of the Urayan Titan with a gaping wound. I imagine everyone who saw the trailer was quite surprised by the final scene. What is this visual hinting at? I can't reveal that just yet. What I can tell you is that this visual was conceived quite some time ago. More precisely speaking, we came up with it sometime between the end of development of Xenoblade Chronicles and the beginning of development of Xenoblade Chronicles 2. So, it's not something we recently added to the series.

We believe the game will be enjoyable for both those who've played Xenoblade Chronicles or Xenoblade Chronicles 2, as well as those who will be playing a Xenoblade Chronicles game for the first time.

The characters were designed by Masatsugu Saito, who also designed the characters for Xenoblade Chronicles 2. While we can't reveal them at this time, Koichi Mugitani created some of the game's key artwork. As you can see, familiar staff members with the Xenoblade Chronicles series have once again come together to create this game.

The game music was also handled by artists who've contributed to the series in the past. The music for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was composed by Yasunori Mitsuda, Manami Kiyota, ACE (TOMOri Kudo, CHiCO), Kenji Hiramatsu and Mariam Abounnasr.

The music in this game maintains the unique Xenoblade Chronicles touch while also taking on a new challenge, namely that of integrating a flute-based melody as its motif. The flute is actually one of the key themes in this game. A variety of other elements and themes are hidden in the trailer andwe'll be revealing the details a bit at a time going forward.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a new adventure bringing together the worlds of Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 to take players into the future. While there is still some time left before the release of the game, I hope you'll look forward to it.

Wow, Nintendo just drops this bomb like that? 6 months ahead of release??

Gotta say, I like that. There's games out there that I have waited a decade from the CGI trailer to the release.

Loved Xeno 2 gameplay and story. So in.

Generic? The main character looks cool as hell.

What is "cool" about them? The basic ass red jacket equipped with belts that cross at the chest? Or the stylish chinos? Dude is totally ready for the meeting on Monday morning - the team has an important decision to make about which vendor they go with for their office chairs.

If thats your idea of "generic" then 90% of characters in western game are "generic".

Man, I feel sad for you.

Will be interesting to see Miiks breakdown of the trailer. Also Xenoblade X was a failed experiment. Let it stay in the past.
Ah you're a fellow Miiks subscriber? Based.

I predicted Xenoblade 3 in the Direct thread as a joke and what do I see, it's actually real. And I haven't played 2 yet!

You got until September better get on it. Xenoblade is becoming like the Legend Of Heroes: Trails franchise adopting a continuing narrative it seems.

Looks amazing. And it appears Monolith Soft has toned down on the big titted girls. Cool.

They shifted precious switch processing power from boob physics to maybe a tad higher resolution in portable. The polygons saved from the roundness of it also allowed to put a gigantic fucking sword on the field for the same vertex count.

Monolith Soft really can't catch a break about the character design, huh.

With their outfits looking pretty normal by jrpg standards I wouldn't be surprised if they went back to viewable equipment like Xenoblade 1.

Because your entire argument why he looks "generic" because he dressed too "normal" which almost 90% of characters in western games.
Again, what do western games have to do with my critique of the main character design in XC3?

Is your assumption that I favor western games or western character design?

Best battle system: Torna
Best world: Xenoblade 1
Best characters: Xenoblade 2
Best boobies: Xenoblade 2
Best story: Xenoblade 2

Best OST : Xenoblade 2

Unpopular opinion i guess? It resonated with me a lot more than the other games. Peoples are always comparing the field music (although Land of Morytha is pure fire), but the music during cutscenes was so good.
