Not a fan of Zelda so I wasn't interested at all in Nintendo this year... but then they announced that there'd be some exclusive Pokemon Sun/Moon info, which is what I mostly wanted from them.

9 days. 9 freaking days. Hopefully the game is groundbreaking. Not for the whole industry, just for the Zelda franchise. Open World, lots of things to do, a nice story and a mysterious world is all i want. VA and stuff like that would be the icing on the cake but the more I think of it the more I doubt it will happen. Aonuma knows the Zelda fanbase and that they are very harsh when he shakes things up they liked before. Even they are screaming for inventions in every game they hate them when they happen and want Link to the Past or Ocarina of Time all the time but completly different...

Wow, tbh I would hate to be in charge for the series. Whatever you do, even if the critics love it, some fans will shout how bad your devisions were and these people will always be the loudest of them all.

Hopefully Nintendo will find a way to amaze us again with Zelda. As much as I loved TP and SS I want to be thrown in a world again, which asks me to explore it and not were the path is clear. Time to go in dangerous dungeons again were you not know before which item you find inside because a NPC already told it to you.

Sorry! I forget to post here for last few days!

Actually it is pretty good. Wonderful overworld music and an interesting concept with the train. A lot to do in the game world and some really nice dungeons. It's clearly a handheld Zelda but a really good one.
The only painful thing is to play the flute...to this day I didnt really figure iut how to use it. With luck i came across the parts were you needed it.
But while Phantom Hourglass was boring this feels much more like an true Zelda.

I'm feeling hype for Zelda.

Curious about Sun and Moon ofcourse. It's going to be a "low key" E3, but man I can't wait to see more of Zelda. Shit always gets me hyped.

I am a mayfly, I only have a few hours to live here.

All we have is just one hour. But one hour, if it is filled with joy, is a lot. Not the measure of time is important. It is the measure of joy.

But sorry so you won't be there for the Zelda launch. Good luck with your next reincarnation.

voice acting, I really hope not. Seriously, if Zelda pulls a Fallout 4 I'm not even considering buying it. Certain games just have to be more creative in getting their character personalities across when there's no voice acting and honestly have more charm.

Why would Zelda having voice acting = Fallout 4? Plus, the rumor from Rogers says Link would remain silent.

Real talk- I'm more excited for Sun and Moon coverage than I am for Zelda coverage.

Zelda is an experience that I want to be as pure as possible the first time I play it, whereas Pokémon's pre-launch reveal campaign is a huge part of the fun for me.

Read this at first in a negative way like you'll never touch (play) Link's Awakening and I was about to ask you if you needed to talk about your problems.
Ha, damn :P

Would be a surprising moment to see when you'd see my follow-up post telling you that Link's Awakening is my favourite handheld Zelda ever hehe.

If Link himself remains silent, I'd be cautious, but willing to see how it was on release. I just found the dialogue system of 4 completely unnecessary. I know it's not a total 1-to-1 comparison, but it was the most recent example I could think of.

I don't need for Zelda to have voice acting, but with the right execution it could be fine. However, it certainly wouldn't prevent me buying the game lol

I think I'm more excited for Zelda coverage but I think I'll like Pokemon more when it comes out. I like Pokemon as a series more than Zelda but I can't really get hyped about the series anymore, the last few entries are all great but they feel samey to me now and the gen 6 games in particular felt phoned in. Nothing we've seen from Sun and Moon looks very impressive to me either and I feel like I already have a good idea of what to expect. I'm sure I'll love it (Pokemon could coast on the solidness of the core gameplay forever and I'd always buy the news games), but pre-release is just....eh. Whereas I don't know anything about Zelda other than what we saw like two years ago. I could very well end up hating what it looks like if it apes western open world games a lot, but I'm interested to see what it does look like because I feel like it could go in so many directions.

My biggest issue with Fallout voice acting was that the fact that everything needed to be voice acted seemed to limit the amount of dialog the game could have. Actually that's been the case for every Bethesda game since Morrowind, where the amount of dialog was incredible and it was all very compelling and important.

Anyway, my point is Zelda games rarely ever have much dialog- characters have one or two lines at a time typically, which would work quite well with voice acting, as opposed to doing that in a full blown RPG like Bethesda has been. Just leave Link out of it and it should be a good addition. I wouldn't be very upset if it's not in though.

I can't believe that we're actually going to see Zelda in a little over a week, and unlike most times this time it's a guaranteed extravaganza filled with content and footage galore! The logo and name will probably all be there too as well as basic plot points, characters, artwork and maybe even a box art
and amiibo
...so excited!

Oh yeah, they'll maybe show some new amiibo, too. I mean the Wolf Link one can't be the only one that will work with the game.

Yeah I wonder what that Wolf Amiibo does and what the connection is to TP. On the topic of Amiibo I also hope that they give a date for the final batch of Smash Amiibo too.Bayonetta and Cloud right?

eh

Wind Waker still looks preeeeeeeeeeeeeetty good

maybe Zelda looks even better now than it did back then, though ^_^
Windwaker probably will out last it due to artstyle and such. You can already see some textures in Zelda U lookinf funky but I love how the game looks. Its like a breath of fresh air.

E3 2014 was so good

yes it was, A shame that the wii u didn't turn around like the 3ds. Last E3 was disappointing to me (sony made a once in a lifetime show though) and right after the event iwata died. This event will be much better even if the lineup is small. Pokémon, last few 3ds games and zelda will give a lot more to look forward than last year.

Zelda specially because i am a big fan of the series. I truly wanted to see the nx this e3, but i am okay to have to wait a little more because i will have a ton of zelda to see. If i had to wait to see zelda until the nx then i would be sad. I hope that when nintendo announces the nx, we see pikmin 4, the new 3d mario and retro's new game.

I'll be pretty happy with Nintendo's showing if Zelda looks good (read: not slow, not tedious, not handhold-y, not going through the same ol' motions), and if the Pokemon Sun/Moon stream reveals new Pokemon (ideally accompanied by the release of their Sugimori art). Oh, and a localized Mother 3 would be the cherry on top.

Personally I'm not all that hyped for Zelda (on Wii U) or Sun/Moon. I'm concerned it will be the weakest showing yet for Nintendo. :(
