This makes no sense to me...
Wait... how? Like I know my opinions are out there and that I own them with conviction, but out of all of the things I've said that's what stands out as making no sense??

I have a wardrobe and that shirt would clash in it. I can't prepare an outfit that would match the shirt, thus it would stand out looking bad. I can't rock it without spending a ton of money to find clothes that would match it. That doesn't even take into consideration my hair, which is extremely magenta atm which would visually clash with the shade of green Zelda merch is known for.

Hey guys, should I go to the convention center on Tuesday? Is there ever any Nintendo stuff happening outside the area that you don't need a badge to access?

I never kid.

He seemed genuinely relaxed and happy to me. And pleasant and polite.

He seems like the kinda guy who would be super fun to get a beer with. Definitely has some absurd stories he'd share after a few.

Back to E3: 3 days dammit! The lack of NX was very hype killing at first but now that I'm actually processing that we'll be seeing substantial Zelda U footage I'm way more hyped than I've been in a long time.

I say go for it, if it's not an inconvenient trip. Pretty much how I ended up getting a ticket to play Zelda U. I was in the neighborhood and figured "why not got nothing better to do between the hours of 11PM-5AM"

Nahh getting there's easy. I just need to know where to go once I arrive.

Some are saying the wiiU version is a DOA release? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Wow this thread is crawling with preconceived notions and you all getting Nostradamus on this. Mark my words that all you fortune telling nerds will day one this game and not admit it. Wait and see. HAHAHAHAHAHA. love it.

So, two things. I noticed IGN is having their "post Nintendo Digital Event" at 11 am. I was wondering if the Treehouse was only going to be two hours long. I mean it could be since it's only two games, but I feel like it could still be an hour or two longer.

Second, IGN is having two Nintendo demos on their stream. One is Tuesday afternoon and one is on Wednesday. I can only assume the Tuesday game is Zelda, but the Wednesday game could be a new game or one of the games shown on Treehouse (already known game).

If it release with NX they might day one it on NX no big deal

Okay dis a melodramatic rant so if y'all don't wanna read y'all don't need to.
I type this on a gloomy ass saturday in southern california. Memoirs of a former Nintendo fanboy.

Never have I been less excited for E3, I am fully expecting Zelda to look worse than the initial trailers shown and for the demo to have many issues including frame rate drops and other technical issues

In all honesty I think this will be the worst E3 since 2008 :/

I'll tell y'all how it is from the show floor, but things aren't looking too good in my eyes. The atmosphere for this E3 as a whole is completely different from any other E3 I've been to. It's like all the excitement and wonder of surprises has been sucked out dry, and instead replaced with VR.

My hype has dissipated and Kimishima seems to be one of the most underwhelming CEOs I've seen in my life, dude is basically trying to do Yamauchi's game plan except in 2016. No info, no talking, no communication with fans, nothing.

I miss being excited for gaming fam ;_;
Pokemon Sun & Moon look amazing tho

I think Zelda is going to be good. I agree that the lack of communication is really bothersome. NX better have some crazy gimmick or really be behind schedule. Otherwise I don't understand the secrecy.

Nintendo typically don't downgrade their games, and I really doubt they would be willing to focus solely (or near solely) on this Zelda demo if they thought it had a lot of technical issues.

Agreed that the lack of communication has been really annoying and I'm hoping there's actually a reason behind all this NX secrecy. At this point it seems like it's impossible to live up to the expectations they're setting by being so secretive about it.

Unless Nintendo has finally invented holodecks, in which case I'm done with the real world, bye

Geez you guys; NX is not what they can market now. It's dumb that you guys are attacking Nintendo for not showing it yet.

lol I kinda agree about the VR and secrecy part, while I tried vr, its amazing o_o but knowing this E3 is going to be heavily VR focused, its gonna come off boring to watch all the vr presentations. Anyway zelda u won't have tech issues ..we wouldn't even get a demo lol. Still even if zelda u is the only nintendo game this year, more and more i'm getting excited for it, i mean last year was complete shit even with all those games nintendo released/showed.

I wish i could be excited for pokemon sun/moon. I still haven't beat pokemon Y and i don't feel like going back to it, sun and moon game looks so much identical to me from visual standpoint to the last pokemon game, very disappointed they decided to make another pokemon 3ds game instead of waiting for nx hardware to release and make next gen/ current gen pokemon game lol

/ boos @ gamefreak.

Nintendo isn't showing NX at E3 for the same reason Sony isn't showing Neo.

Really wish we could get past this bullshit. A company is not ready to show a product yet for various reasons. That's the end of the narrative.

After playing with VR, the day that gaming jumps ship 100% will be perfection. VR is beyond mindblowing, it's... speechless.

Also on an unrelated note, I'm watching Gamexplain's latest Zelda... thing, and I realized that I care significantly more about the Zelda timeline than the stories and lore of each game individually. I hope Zelda U tackles all of that delicious continuity mmmmm

Now I want a Crisis on Infinite Zelda Timelines where all of the Links from all of the timelines have to unite to fight off a timeline eating evil and causes a hard reboot of the series so continuity can actually not be an afterthought. Yes, that sounds amazing.

Wasn't Hyrule Warriors' story kinda like that? It sounds awesome for a mainline game but it would be super tough to pull off in a satisfactory way.

As for NX at E3 I totally get that if it's not ready then they shouldn't show it, but you can't deny that Nintendo has been awfully secretive in general over the past year. We assume there are a huge number of games lined up for NX but we have no confirmation on any but Zelda.

I'm just saying that this secrecy is implying that they have big and mindblowing plans but the longer the secrecy goes on the harder it will be to live up to those mounting expectations.

If it's not ready though then there's nothing they can do. It's a tough situation to be in but I think it'll work out fine.

Which Link would be the pissy Superboy Prime type that punches reality to reset it?

So stoked for Aonuma slowly explaining through a translator that The Legend of Zelda: Kingdom of Grass was inspired by his new hobby mowing the lawn

Despite the ridiculousness of it I actually genuinely think the Zelda timeline is really cool. The whole three timelines thing reinforces the motif of three that's constantly seen throughout the series with the Triforce, and the whole thing sort of paints an epic history of Hyrule.

I thought typically it was Miyamotos hobbies and life musings that generally led to some whack games or innovations, at least most publicly?? But I'm sure Aonuma has his life inspirations closely tied to grass cutting, or pot smashing...cucco gliding?
I'm sorta curious to see if they introduce a new species whether enemy, Hyrulian, or whatever. Perhaps the return of some pivotal characters too? I always found the Mask Salesman particularly interesting because he came across so unpredictable and "imbalanced", also in terms of elvish looks he reminds me of Miyamoto. Speaking of which I always believed since Iwatas death it would've been interesting if he were immortalized in this next Zelda as some honorary NPC, especially as this Zelda sorta feels like the farewell game of the WiiU. Almost feels right...
Anyways, mere days away and the hype is still tense for what should be the mother of all Zeldas, no matter what they do to it. :)

The NX release rumor is early 2017 or just 2017 ? or some were 2016 ?

Nintendo LOVE to launch things at holiday ( logic ), so maybe they wait for next year?

And it's "sad" if there plan was to release 1 console better then PS4 and xbox 1. The both of them release a "upgrade console" lol. They surely did this to counter the NX.

It's not a rumor. NX has been officially announced to launch March 2017.
