Nintendo should focus on better franchises than Xenoblade

The bear of bad news
Why does this jrpg keep getting releases?

How about Fzero?

These guys drive me nuts.

I guess it's because it sells. It's also safe for them as the other Xenoblade games were released not long ago and sold well.

A new F-Zero would be riskier imo. Yeah lots of boomers would buy it, but, what about the new generations of gamers? They might only know who is C. Falcon because of Smash Bros.

Lmao, troll post. Xenoblade is top notch franchise, it's so good... Between fire emblem, Xenoblade, Zelda and Metroid I became a total Nintendo fan, not even Mario no matter how good the mainline are, and among them Xenoblade has the Crown, it's just so good. Nintendo, never stop letting Monolith do their RPG, those people are basically gifted RPG makers ❤️

Xeno doesn't sell that great.

2 million copies.

Fzero could do better than that today. A 2D Metroid did.

If anything, I would love if they ditched Xenoblade for a while and bring us a new Mugen no Frontier game. Those games were very fun.

I might be wrong but I think the only F-Zero title thay sold more than that was the first one on the SNES.

I'm saying today Fzero would sell way better than Xeno. The market it bigger. Especially if it was online.

Xeno has low sales for Nintendo franchise.

Monolith expertise is JRPGs... Why would Nintendo have them develop anything else?.

So what if it doesn't sell 10m+ what makes you think F Zero would, If it was as big a game as you seem to think it will be why have Nintendo not greenlighted it yet?.

His logic is if he personally doesn't care for series then it shouldn't exist, regardless if anyone else enjoye those games.

How self centred someone has to be to think like this?

I'm not sure if a new F-Zero would sell that well bro. And I love F-Zero and would get it for sure, but even if the market is bigger, it's still not the same market as almost 20 years ago, so we can'ts predict how it would sell.

Outside the hardcore fans that are in their 40's maybe a bit younger.
The the Switch userbase don't know what the fuck F-Zero is.
And they're probably the most vocal too.

I want more PXZ, too bad the director already left Monolithsoft

They made an action game once:

Monolith is their best investment. They made JRPG lineup that Nintendo missing. They help Nintendo greatly for BOTW, Splatoon, and Animal Crossing. In return, Nintendo let Monolithsoft make what they want.

Is the market bigger for F Zero like game? I think the biggest title lately is Fast RMX. Even Wipeout struggle with its remaster

"Why is Nintendo letting their RPG studio work on an RPG instead of a racing game".

This thread is dumb take, even by GigaBowser standards.

won't take the bait and I'll give you a real answer.

I think games like Xenoblade, Astral Chain, Bayo 3 and third party exclusives like Triangle Strategy and SMTV help them keep a certain audience that might not necessarily be that much into the Switch otherwise.

For me personally those games are one of the main reason I haven't sold my Switch yet.

FZero or Metroid will probably appeal more to the core Nintendo audience who will buy a switch anyway for all the other classic Nintendo franchises

I don't care about F-Zero. It doesn't have cute girls, it's not an RPG, and I can enjoy the stupid Captain Falcon memes on youtube.

I think you guys should move on. Embrace waifu.

How about a StarFox action rpg

instead of the tactical jrpg Xenoblade?

It still has turn based elements. The combat is boring in my opinion. They need to work on that.
Both Xenoblade's combat and press turn system in SMT are favourite combat system in JRPGs.

You can alway play different game, right? But I guess that logic is lost to you.

Op is trolling but I actually do want then to create another jrpg ip, but one that's not Xeno identified.

Them working alongside Atlus to create a Radiant Historia sequel with Xb3 rendering for characters on the Switch successor is the dream.

Hopefully Honne is neck deep in a new project to launch next gen.

F-zero, Starfox more than likely have no one to champion them, hence their absence.

F-zero as a franchise has sold a total of 5.8 million copies across 6 games.

Xenoblade Chronicles has sold 6.1 across 3 games (XBC 1, XBC 2 and XBC X).

Yeah I kinda wish they would.
Absolutely, but Nintendo doesn't care as much about their western fans. Japan has always been the most important to them.

Fzero is an old franchise and the market for it is a lot bigger now.

They could beat Xenoblades 2's 2 million in sales with a new one with online. It would probably blow it away.

Xenoblade has been on much better selling platforms all totaled.

Excluding Wii u which, considering the relatively few huge releases from Nintendo, I'm not surprised the hardcore picked it up.

I get why Xenoblade is appealing esp. to Nintendo only players but it's kind of intimidating for me to start the series now considering how long they are, and I have kids so I have to be picky in that respect. And excluding X on Wii u they all seem really similar...

Today, f zero has the hype of years and years of internet interest building and would no doubt do far better than it ever did.

Because that studio wants to keep making xeno games, when they're done they'll move onto a new IP, actually they are working on one if I remember correctly.

I'd be fine with more Xenoblade if they were making sequels to X. The mainline stuff is just too boring for me to care about.
