Awesome! The drastic change when the planet goes from lowest LOD to a bit more detail is pretty jarring though. Just a massive POP (ok, there's a fade-in I suppose) which changes the entire surface of the planet. Let's hope they can smooth that transition out a bit. But yeah, so cool to have a dogfight go from orbit to inner atmosphere.

And there's nothing shown here that hasn't been shown before. Except for that specific planet I guess.

So I've already got my digital version downloaded and installed. If my limited edition disc copy turns up and I put the disc in, will it let me play the game I've already downloaded, or will it install a separate disc version? Really not sure!

Never heard anything about a server wipe. Just that those that started before the patch would have to start again to have the day 1 patch active because their old save file wouldn't have the patch.

Servers will be wiped on Sunday and again Monday in the lead up to launch.

it sucks. the game is made here in the UK and we need to wait until wednesday for it. well since i'll be getting it on PC i need to wait to friday. i wish all countries/platforms got it the same day. oh well it won't matter much this time next week!

Wipes all discoveries, etc. The universe will change with the patch, so wouldn't make much sense to keep the old data.

It removes all uploaded discoveries from server database.

They are wiping all uploaded discoveries. Yiu can continue playing with the current pre patch save yiu won't be able to fully take advantage of the new content.
