That's terrifying :3

i am on the craziest planet, on my 3rd solar system

planet is huge
4 trading post
gold, iridium, and emeril rich
and now i just found my 15th drop pod/suit on this planet alone

I want a more detailed personal statistics screen.

Sure the Journey Menu tells you how far you traveled, how many words you learned, how many starships and sentinels you've taken down and so forth, but there are things I think that need to be a bit more specific.

For example I'd like to check the vocabulary of all of the current Alien specific words I own, so hopefully they add a language menu later on.

Also I'd like a break down of my current faction ranking with each of the Alien Races.

Some Alien dialogs have a speech check that allows you give a specific response based on your rank within that specific faction. So being able to go into the Menu and see what your exact rank is would be nice instead of a vague "Your standing with "insert race" has increased"

So; I notice that I can hold R3 to start the destroy/discard process on my Jetpack and Exosuit.... Can they be rebuilt once I do so? And if so, what materials do I need? I'm mainly wondering becuase I'd like to position my jetpack boost next to my actual jetpack, but the only adjacent slots are filled with Life Support and the Exosuit.

The circle goes round but you can't dismantle them iirc

Drop pod locations seem crazy, in my first 2 planets I'm upto about 29 slots on my suit, helped by massive piles of emeril.

I've definitely hit a wall today and am looking forward to switching to PC with maybe more focus. The trek to the center seems completely useless. I've been through 30+ systems and a half dozen black holes and am no where near being even slightly close to the center and the planet variety really has fizzled out. I'm going to focus on the Atlas path on PC because man moving to the center just seems like the longest slog.

I really hope there's more out there hiding in terms of planet and animal variety.

Absolute worst thing about this game so far is the fact that your character cannot swim above water. Am I doing something wrong? This for some reason infuriates me. Doggy paddle if you have to, man.

Yeah, it is used in honor of the 'Sean lied to us and stole my Milky Ways, ignored our only the most important tweets while barefoot moonwalking across the lack of a buddy system' (being very hyperbolic) thread.

I also learned today, that this is not a game, in fact, maybe half a game, or maybe Star Citizen is more of a game, but still not a game.

It is a dangerous universe out there mates. Stay safe!
I popped into that thread the other day and saw the crackachu happenings but didn't see yours. It's so beautiful. I'm really looking forward to getting home and diving in on PC. Sean can keep my Milky Ways.

Ok, I think I'm fucked right now. I got off the 1st planet and into first system. I repaired the hyperdrive and loaded a warp cell, then sold the ship to upgrade. Now the trading post no longer sells antimatter and my hyperdrive is empty keeping me from jumping out. Any idea what to do next?

You can find an antimatter recipe, I believe. If not, check other stations to try and buy one. They have different inventory

I think I've started to hit the exploration wall and I'm only on my fourth system. There's been a few cool looking planets, but I'm getting less excited about exploring everything already. It's more - mine some minerals, collect some trading commodities from a building, learn a few new words, take a few nice vista pictures, move on. Aside from a really cool snow world that had floating islands, no planet has really grabbed me as "SUPER AWESOME I NEED TO STAY HERE FOREVER" yet.

What are your choices?

a) Die because its a superior being
b) Die because its a superior being
c) hope the game hard crashes and resets you on land...and die because it can fucking walk and is a superior being.

I found cthulu squids. Will upload a pic later in the picture thread and here.

Why is everyone still complaining about not being able to meet another player???.......YOU CAN'T!!!.....done.....that should be the end of it......Can you not play a game on your own for once? Im sure there are other games that allow you to meet someone in the game world.....this one doesn't.....move on!!

I've read this a couple times. What are you meant to do here? When upgrading / changing ship are you meant to move over your hyperdrive from the first ship?

Game unlocks in 12ish ours, I don't want to make the same mistake.

Hahaha nice. Hoping the PC version goes well tomorrow. Definitely looking forward to PC player impressions.

Man...I'm so glad I didn't pay attention to previews, anything besides E3 gameplay videos, just information, so so glad...

Because I'm absolutely loving this game.

There's just something about it. Whether it's the idea of the game, atmosphere, the pure size of it, the fact it really makes me feel like I'm actually in a starship traveling across space and it's so realistic. I don't know what this game is but I love it. It's exactly how I've always imagined traveling through space to be as a kid. Even the weird sounds you hear, the openness of the planets, everything seems great. Sure, others had different expectations and others had hype but I was never on board with this hype train. While I've always wanted to play it, I was just never in "OMFG THIS IS THE GAME OF THE GENERATION I NEED THIS BAD" mode and what do you know, it's come out far better than I expected.

I'm going to be playing this for a very very long time. Love it.

4 hours in and (stupidly) choose to not follow Atlas guide. Where in the hell do I find an Atlas Pass v1?

But he lied though. I disowned my parents when I found out there was no Tooth Fairy or Santa Clause... the Easter Bunny drove me to counseling.

Hell, now there are days I call out of work sick, when I am not really sick, I'm such a hot mess.

I think I'm stuck. Currebt objective is to travel to a space station and fuel the hyperdrive. I've traveled to what I believe is a space station but did not have the option to fuel. There was just an alien at a desk. Perhaps that wasn't a station?

Another objective is to find and activate the signal booster, but I can't seem to find it.

Any and all help would be much appreciated.

Turn on dammit!!

What the hell?! Did they just deactivate them all and leave them in the game?

EDIT: Ok to hell with this POS. I just got to the last Atlas station and didn't have the stones. I went back out to the station and did the glitch and now when I come back I can't even talk to the damn thing again! Screw this.

You fuel it with a warp cell!

You only think that because you are only on your third system...

Those of us who played a lot more know that is like a very common thing.

Once you get to your 10th system you start to realize there are no really special systems. And you run into the same shit all the time with only minor cosmetic variations.

Well said. You echo my sentiments as well.

You need to build a warp cell and use it on the hyperdrive. Buy the antimatter on the space station to build it.

I dunno. I've been playing for a while and I just came across a moon where all the trees looked like they were made of fibreglass, crabs flew through the air and there were little purple jumping beans all over the place.

A little worried. Went to the first Atlas Interface, warped to the next area and the Space Anomaly was there where I talked to the aliens to get the Atlas Pass V1. I got to the second Atlas Interface, everything was fine. Warped to the next galaxy and....no space Anomaly to get Atlas Pass V2?

Someone make me feel better. I didn't mess something up, did I?

To clarify to those asking on this page:

If you want to avoid recipe/fuel 'bugs'

1. Do not redeem the preorder ship until you have successfully created a hyperdrive and also crafted warp cells for it. You can either find the recipe for the ingredients or purchase them

You're fine so long as the atlas path is always on your galaxy map. If you lose it, visit ruins to find your way again. It's a long journey.
