No more excuses! Gundam Extreme VS PS3 to get a BEST (cheaper) release in Dec!

Question. How do I get this emblem? (I don't know any japanese >.<!)
I thought getting 'S' ranks would be enough. So far now I have get every emblem by doing just that.

Is that the one where you use Susanoo against 00, Cherudim and the Celestial Being ship? If so, you have to destroy the ship first before you beat 00 and Cheru. Use the AB and charge A attack to damage the CB ship when it comes in range. Also, when you are targeting the ship, set your partner to attack the same target to make it easier on you.

Done, thanks!
9 hours and counting in the game... I should have dropped it while I had the chance ._.!!!

Ordered a couple more copies today so that I can play with a RL friend but my regular "go to" sites for imports were all out of stock. I ended up going with NCSX as their site said restock in 4-7 business days so hopefully I'll be back in the swing of things in a week or so.

I think my favorite 2000 point unit ended up being F91 although I also had success with Virsago CB and the Gold Sumo. There are so many good units and unique playstyles that everyone should be able to find a unit (or several) that suits them. It's one of the great things about the game.

So Gundam Breaker reminded me about this game. Is there split screen offline? I don't think I'll play the game online (because of terrible internet connection) so I'll mostly be playing offline; is it still worth picking up in this situation?

Also I would need a Japanese PSN + PSN cards to get the DLC units right?

There is split screen offline. Not sure if it's worth picking up just for offline alone unless you have a friend who's interested as well. The game is really meant to be played with human players and designed for 2v2.

yes and yes for the dlc.

So it seems like a 2ch member and a Chinese guy found coding for the rest of the EXVS DLC suits. It's pretty much a partial version of the pic that got released including the Zaku III. A GameFAQs member compiled the sources in this topic. Seems like it'll be Strike Noir, Gold Frame, Zaku III, Arios, and there is a blank spot for Age-1.

So Strike Noir and Gold Frame are pretty much confirmed. That's good because finally, some of my favorite mobile suits in Gundam are actually going to be playable here. All I need is the Banshee in FB one day and I'll never actually switch from Strike Noir and Banshee.

And they better offer Age-1 for free, because I'm not going to pay for it. People are better off giving their money to Arios so Allelujah can crawl out of his "the Quatre/Gundam Sandrock of the 00 team" infamy.

I will come back for Strike Noir :D. Should come back anyway, though I'm so out of practice I would just get stomped. Not that I was any good to begin with :p.

Watched the majority of the videos posted above today and did a run through Arcade mode with First Gundam (remembered someone saying he was a good beginner pick).

I'm liking this game and need some more time to spend on it.

I feel like I'm not doing boost dashes correctly, as it seems when I was playing, First would just keep on going in one direction wasting the meter away. I probably need more time to figure out what I'm doing.

Probably need to double tap the boost faster and get the rhythm down. It becomes muscle memory after awhile and can be transferred to a lot of suits in te game. Glad you're enjoying it though! :)

Poo. Guess I'll skip it then.

Email update: My order has shipped! My friend thinks he's going to be waiting a week or two because of the stock situation but it looks like we'll have it in hand by the end of the week. I'm going to surprise him with it at work. Good times will ensue.

Hopefully he'll dig it as much as I did because having RL folks (as opposed to the CPU) playing with you makes a huge difference in this game.

Mine is out for delivery as of this morning!

Have some friends in town for the holiday break and plan to cut our teeth on some split-screen this evening. Any first-time player tips?

Both are perfectly valid. The inputs don't require very specific motions, it's all the straight directions. Those of us who played the prior version of this game on a home console didn't have the option for an arcade stick, and it still worked just fine.

I've been out of the country for the past week, so I missed the Arios and Strike Noir news.

Arios oddly moves really slow, but eh. I want Strike Noir NOW.

... Although, that means that the leak list was accurate. And if that list is accurate, which one of us is going to be brave enough to buy AGE-1?

AGE-1 data was apparently removed prior to the patch. Only slight remnants of it exist, but who knows?

I will buy AGE-1 and fuck every single one of you up. ;-)

What's this BS?
How is that I have the ugly yellow edition ;__;?

(Has anyone made a custom cover for this?)
The price dropped on the OG version so I paid the extra $20 for superior cover.

Aside from that though I'm having a blast using God Gundam.

Spent some more time offline yesterday after playing a few matches with #gafgundam and getting my ass handed to me... I think I'm getting better about boost dashes now. Also, learning about rainbow steps made a huge difference!

Played split screen last night with a friend, and that was really fun too. While playing, I used Cherudim for a bit, and playing long range was more fun than I expected (against the CPU at least).

I still feel most at home with Red Astray, especially after learning about the rainbow steps, but I am enjoying the experimentation with all the different suits.
