Would haved love to but I grew up praising the Rossoneri. Ive been a devout follower of Cruz Azul since I was born and that is the team that my dad gave me, but European football was an enigma until I saw the Rossoneri. Love at first sight, Chelsea was also easy to fall in love because of the similarity in uniform with Cruz Azul and the players interested me. Maybe I wanst born in London or Milan but I do sacrifice my sleep to see them every weekend even if its 3 or 4 in the morning, which I know of lot of people do here, and I cried just as much as Terry when he missed that penalty, up to the point that I was having nervous breakdowns and nightmares about that shot. Im emotionally invested in these teams, and its more than can be said about 90 percent of the Man U fans who only appeared at my local pub till the final of the CL.
and the only good thing to come out of Manchester are Joy Division, and The Smiths...
Slightly hypocritical there, you slam others for having no attachment ( "I've never seen one [Manchester United supporter] who isn't American or Korean " ) or living abroad to the club but you yourself have no attachment other than crying when Terry missed, outstanding loyalty there, and also don't live in any of the country's of the many teams you support. Most of the Chelsea fans I know started supporting them in 2004 - and a few have already distanced them from supporting them after another trophy less season, I won't judge them though, they're still my friends, I guess they're not proper supporters as they don't live 2000 miles away and cry when they lose?
The point I'm getting at is that people can support in what ever way they like and it's not for you or anybody else to judge them, I could criticize you very easily for living thousands of miles away supporting two teams, but I won't as it's not my place to judge, I don't know you in the same way you don't know any of the supporters you generalize, and for the fact of the matter is that Chelsea is full of glory-hunters who are lucking for the first opportunity to drop off. And for the people in your bar just because they don't wear their heart on their sleeve doesn't mean that they are any less of a supporter.
And the only good thing to come out of Mexico are burritos and my friends Cedric & Jose and The Mars Volta.
