The selection of 3rd party Wii games has hit a nice stride for the fall that much I will say... but I'm kind of getting to the point that I'd wish I'd have just stuck with the Wii exclusively.Haunted said:
My big HD game was Mass Effect. I'm shocked at how much I dislike that game now. It fell below all expectations aside from production values.
Ahh well. Demos are cool at least.

Fable 2 did about double what I thought it would, and Dead Space much, much less than what I thought it would do as well. From all the good impressions I got and positive buzz I thought it was going to do over 500k. This has got to be a disappointment for EA. Also, if Dead Space can only do 193k, then that doesn't bode well for Mirror's Edge at all.

I go by what I see, and subjectivity is all you're going to get. Comments like those are indicative to me of what is wrong with this gen. Don't agree with it? Awesome. I could be 100% wrong, but subjectivity is 99% of what this forum seems to be based on.

Nintendo stated that all of their first party teams are hard at work on their "traditional games" now. The "Wii series" is similar to the whole DS "Touch Generations". There were many coming out in the beginning and then they just stopped and being replaced with games like Phantom Hourglass and the likes.

, my intuition actually served me well: I was right to begin with. Yes, MGS4 did 750K in three week's time. My mis-mistake (I misread 7-17-06 for 6-17-08). I understand that sales are generally front-loaded but again, LBP's sales were only recorded for three days and it sold 250K.
So back to the user Nolan, I don't see why LittleBigPlanet won't do MGS4 numbers at least in the US.

They've got a handful of great games, but not enough for your average GAFer. And a lot of these "highly rated" titles are more "overrated" then "highly rated". I use Mass Effect as one of many examples.

Jesus, 803k. Its set in stone now, there is no way the Wii doesn't come out of this gen no.1. It may still be too early but we pretty much have our 2 and 3 set now too. PS3 fanboys shouldn't feel bad though, its a pretty respectable 3rd compared to how things were looking to be early 07.
