I hope you guys are prepared to stare at an error message (or some matchmaking bugs) for the whole night while the Blizzard servers get smashed to bits across the globe. I'm not even for a second going to expect things to go smoothly at the unlock after what has happened to the launch of WoW and Diablo 3. I mean their open beta reached some high numbers sure,...but that still seems like a gradual spread throughout the week it was up.
I'm still sore over that Diablo 3 launch.
Mixed reception from players following its beta, along with poor timing by launching the full game around the same time as Overwatch's open beta (Battleborn is more MOBA than traditional shooter, but it can be argued that they're competing for the same marketshare by both being an FPS with cartoony visuals and a motley crew of specialists, yet its cast and art direction weren't able to strike the same chord with consumers).

What do you mean by this? I want to buy the $60 version of the game...not the $100 version.
And here is something odd...that link says $60 when I click it on my phone. It says $100 when I click it via desktop.

Hours? There was rule34 in the 4chan announcement thread 15 minutes after the trailer had finished.
I just want to be able to change my settings.. need to change default melee key, need to make it so Mercy doesn't prioritize people she's healing when flying, probably put her medibeam on press instead of hold cuz im lazy...need to make it so you have to hold down shift to go into tempo mode (so it's like sprinting basically) with Lucio.. put on health indicators for players for characters with healing like S76

I'm honestly expecting some form of server issue during this launch week.
I think 9 million people in the beta and the general hype was already a clear indicator of its imminent success.
also I hate fanart but that is another indicator of something being popular out of the gate, look at splatoon.

My anecdotal evidence tells me that Best Buy are incompetent. I pre-ordered the Collector's Edition on Xbox One the day that preorders went live. They shipped me the PC version, and there aren't any stores in the area that have the Xbox Collector's Edition in stock for a swap.
I can't play Overwatch on my computer. My computer is a potato that runs Chrome.
Now, I have to buy the standard Xbox Origins Edition separately if I want to play tonight.

That article is so much more interesting than it has any right to be. It's fun to take a more nuanced stance on the subject than "lol porn."
Remember that your main job is to apply pressure while keeping the enemy off you teammates. Your leap allows you to kill snipers/healers/genji fairly easily but your damage output it only about average so don't be expecting to get any offense/tank hero kills without dying. Fortunately your leap recharges super fast so it's easy to get out of bad situations.
Your barrier is a great multitool. You can use it to protect healers/sentries, or use it offensively and weave through it to block enemy bullets at close combat.
with your ult you really shouldn't ever be getting kills unless theres a healer with low health or their's enemies standing near a ledge. It's main purpose is disruption.
Here's one of my favourite strategies with it: If the clock is in overtime and your one of the last ones pushing/defending the payload, pop ult, then attack a bit, jump STRAIGHT up, attack a bit, jump again, and repeat. It's hard to keep track of where you are this way and you'll constantly reset the timer.
