maybe i just hate hipsters? especially hipsters who have no reason being at a show other than having read a score next to an artists name on some website earlier in the week. it's called the pitchfork effect for a reason and it has the potential of ruining the vibe of any show, especially hardcore and metal ones which thankfully aren't "scene" anymore.

What stupid fucking rationale. I can't believe people think like this.

If you like the band and enjoy seeing live music, go to the show. Nobody else cares about this shit.

m83 kiiiilllllleeeeddddd it. I loved the Flips show but m83 were absolutely stunning. Missed Grizzly Bear since we camped out at the A stage but I'm sure they'll be here again in time. I'm not all that disappointed.

Almost had my glasses broken but a crowd surfer...stupid fuck.

M83 sounded so good. I'm glad they've changed the songs up a bit since the last time I saw them. Other guitar player is missing, but I didn't notice, their sound was top notch and sounded so epic.

The Flaming Lips were amazing. I got pretty close, it wasn't railing close, but screw that. This one guy I was talking to at the gates told me he was camping out at the A Stage all day.

I took some HD video with my little powershot of The Antlers, Matt and Kim, Lindstrom and The Flaming Lips. Will post them soon.

I've uploaded one video so far, The Flaming Lips performing Do You Realize??, which closed out the night. It's still being processed for HD quality. For some reason there is a few skips in the audio here and there. Looks like I'm gonna have to send my camera to Canon for repair. :/

Cheaper, smaller, less people although still very crowded. There were apparently 49,000 concert goers this year. I think it's inexpensive enough that it can serve as a nice supplemental primer.

I put up my pics finally. flickr seems to be having difficulties processing videos.. I've had 2 of them "stop" at 99% according to the uploader. They go through, but the quality is not quite there. It's like it fails in the conversion process and they end up very pixelated or something... I dunno.

The M83 and Flips shots actually turned out pretty darn well. I was very pleased.
