Establishment Republicans must be shitting bricks if Trump is able to string together some actual victories, and their boys come in third or less.
I can see Cruz becoming the establishment compromise candidate at this rate. Everyone's underestimating him.
What's Rubio even doing? He has the worst attendance record in the senate and yet he's barely been seen in the early states campaigning. He's supposedly focusing on fundraising and yet he raised less in Q3 than Bill Richardson eight years ago! And his staff thinks he can run a field operation out of starbucks. And despite the most obsequious press coverage possible he's still mired in single digits. I know the CW is increasingly that he'll win by process of elimination, but is there any real evidence he's running a serious campaign?
I think the establishment would prefer Trump to Cruz. He is that utterly loathed.
If we re going for dark horse establishment candidates, my money would be on Christie. He;s living in New Hampshire nowadays trying to replicate McCain in 2008, and in 2012 the establishment were begging him to jump into the race. If Rubio and Bush drop out he would be my bet for their candidate.

man i refuse to beleive this, how many republicans are fully invested in the early polling anyways? sensible GOP voters aint stupid. if by December things still look the same the GOP is fucking done.
That's on you then. Trump has been leading for way too long by way too wide margins to not be legitimate at this point.
"sensible GOP voters" are simply outnumbered at this point- or at best splitting their votes between so many also-rans they're handing it to Trump.

“I promise you tonight as your president I will govern based on principle not poll numbers,”
i just, dont get these people. Donald Trump might be non PC which the base loves, but hes not winning the GE. GOP wants to kill their chances of a Supreme Court nominee (for example) that bad? i mean wow
Im gonna make a prediction and say Bush drops out the weekend after the debate if there numbers dont bounce
I like it!
This will be the best battle ever.
Hillary is going negative because it worked for her during the debate. This is why she is still attacking Bernie:
CBS Poll:
Iowa
Clinton 46%
Sanders 43%
NH
Sanders 54%
Clinton 39%
I mean, why would she want to lose the first two primaries? She cannot afford to lose Iowa again, not less both Iowa and New Hampshire. She has obviously learned, and its a great thing for her campaign that she isnt underestimating Sanders.
And wow, Sanders really DRAGGED Clinton. He left no folllicle attached:
kiii
None of them are winning the GE. They're all going to get steamrolled by Hillary. There is no path to victory in the general election against her. The only choice is how large a margin you want to lose by.
Spoiler alert bro
The only negative campaigning that Hillary needs to be doing is against Republicans. It's what she's good at anyway.
And Trump just retweeted this gem:
*ColbertPopcorn.gif*
Real life Edgelord at my university: "Most of intelligence is inherited which is why we need eugenics which is why I support Planned Parenthood even though abortion is wrong."
Jerk off motion is the correct response here, right?
Yes, but it should be this one.
note: CBS polls are tracking polls sponsored by YOUGOV and not the live ones done by CBS themselves.
5 topshow many more presidents do you think there will be? i think maybe three.
That dudes suit that doesn't fit that well is bothering me.Yes, but it should be this one.
Exiting before the debate? He has to wait til afterWhat's this about Hilary attacking Sanders? I haven't heard anything about this.
Also rumors of Jeb! exiting tomorrow are popping up in my Facebook feed.
oct 28When is the next debate?
Exiting before the debate? He has to wait til after
At the very least he needs to go out in a blaze of glory, dropping f bombs on stage about Trump before dropping the mic and exiting the debate and the race

Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie says the Black Lives Matter movement is creating an environment that can put police officers at risk. And he's accusing President Barack Obama of supporting the movement and encouraging "lawlessness" while not backing up law enforcement.
The New Jersey governor says on Sunday said, "I don't believe that movement should be justified when they are calling for the murder of police officers." Speaking on CBS' "Face the Nation," Christie said Black Lives Matter is "creating" an environment, as some of its supporters have chanted for the death of police.
Hillary's been saying that she's been told not to shout about gun control. (Bernie said during the debate all the shouting in the world won't change anything.) Then she said that when women speak up, they're often accused of shouting. It's not really an attack on Bernie, but some of his supporters seem to think it is.
I have to admit, after the JJ dinner a lot of the good will I had for Sanders has managed disappear. I would be quite happy to watch Hillary destroy him, but I'm sure she's not going to do that.
I don't see how offhand remarks like that are attacks in anything but the most thin skinned interpretation.
Doesn't Vitter have a scandal brewing too? His PI was arrested for something shady wasn't he?So the showing was very poor in NOLA last night and JBE still got 40% of the vote. Dems have a month to fix this.

He honest to goodness believes the book's completely unfounded theories, such as the communist infiltration of every echelon of American society - government, finance and media. These infiltrators are seeking to undermine the Christian society by their gay, muslim loving agenda. Now he sees the courts ruling in favor of equal rights and anti-discrimination, and he grows more paranoid. Every step by the democrats towards progress, be it Obamacare or financial regulation, is another step by the marxists towards eradicating good 'ol America. That's why you hear completely batshit responses by Carson on any topic. If you think of the paranoid world which he lives in, all his answers make complete sense.Carson's repeated and full-throated endorsements of Skousenwhich tend to be coupled with dire warnings about the covert scheming of Marxists and Saul Alinskysuggest that Carson shares Skousen's belief that the civil rights movement, acceptance of homosexuality, the rise of abstract art and modernism, and the advent of Medicare, Social Security, and other safety-net programs have all been part of a clandestine plot waged by Communists or other dark forces to destroy the United States. As Carson points out, this nefarious plotting is still in the works today.
That video of Trump saying everyone should ditch their PACs is really good. He is amazing at framing the contest to his own advantage.
