The political reporter for ABC that claimed Christie suspended his campaign just recanted.

Christie suspends his campaign

At least he succeeded in helping make sure Trump is the candidate, meaning a likely Democratic victory, meaning an open spot for a republican in 2020.

They do in the sense that you declare you want X party's ballot and you vote for them.

They don't in the sense that it's literally impossible to determine, from that information alone, whether you're a registered Dem or not.
I don't understand what you're saying (I'm pretty tired). You can't change parties or become undeclared at the voting station: that had to be done by last May, for some reason. I was registered Democrat so I was handed the ballot.
Yes but you can register as an Independent and vote in either primary. You don't have to be a member of either party to vote in that party's primary.
Yes.

There was a little drama going on in CNN that spell some truth, when Sanders mention minorities in his stump speeches he mostly mentions criminal reform but nothing really about racism in a broader sense.

Which I think is a correct critic of Sanders´ failure with minorities issues, sadly.

Does anyone here think the similarities between Ted Cruz and Spiderus are numerous?

Get some sleep, man!

But to clarify: the turnout figures being cited don't depend on party identification as an earlier poster hypothesized; they only depend on party ballot counts. You could ID as independent and be voting for the Democrats and it'll count you under the Dems just as hard as an actual registered Dem.

Christie absolutely HAS to stay through the next debate to crush Rubio.

He's not going to go after him again, if he makes it. It didn't work in his favor but it took Rubio out.

I'm trying to come up with a mario kart analogy but I'm failing.

christie threw the blue shell that hit rubio right before he passed the finish line, allowing trump to sail to victory. christie took 12th place despite playing a decisive role in the results.

While he's added specific policy planks, these issues still seem on the whole a secondary concern. And as long as everything else remains secondary to income inequality and Wall St, and these other issues are simply assumed to be a result of income inequality and the billionaire class or only seen through the lens of income inequality, I don't know if he'll make headway.

I gotcha. It's been a long four days.

To be fair that is the classical socialist lens so I guess that is the origin of that. He just really needs to expand on his comments on that. Bernie is the worst candidate ever lol but i think hes a good person.

Did he address racism at all during his speech? Didn't watch it. Considering the states coming up, he should make talking about it (in a way that doesn't instantly segue into talking about income inequality) a priority. Hillary was speaking on the issue (as well as LGBT and women's rights) loud and clear in her concession speech.

Retro for the reliable mario kart analogy. I'm expecting you to do an entire analysis of the republican primaries using nothing but mario kart once this is all done and over with.

This is brilliant and accurate.

NH results more than any other shows that if all the moderate conservatives banded together they could certainly beat Trump. But that means Rubio and Bush and Christie need to bail.

(and I don't believe for a second that Trump would get all of Cruz's and Carson's supporters, both of which are more on the evangelical end)

Trump is actually leading with evangelicals, or at least was a month ago.

As for your other statement, who are these moderate conservatives going to get behind? Kasich? Rubio?

Because Christie, Carson, and Fiorina are the nextbto go, and I don't see those voters flocking to anyone in particular.

Which would lead to Huckmentum!

If all the moderate republicans bail, who's supposed to win the nomination? You think Republicans like Kasich? Lol

Well it won't happen until after March 1st, and even then it's not likely to drop below a 3 person race for a while.
