More hopium from my red part of Ohio:

Girl who works at the Clinton office called and asked if we could send some more food. 20 high school kids just showed up offering to make calls and canvass. Sent my fiance over with pop and some more stuff for them.

In 8 years of doing this in this shitty town, this has never, ever happened before. EVER. Not even for Obama in 2008.

From everything I've seen and read about, enthusiasm for Democrats actually feels higher this year than 2008

As a southerner, this offends me.

I noticed a lot more activity at my polling place today. I voted in the same spot in the same church basement that I did in 2008 and 2012. Kind of weird -- I'll consider it good luck, though.

But yeah, the traffic reminded me more of 2008. There seemed to be way more women too. All anecdotal of course.

The media still acting like just winning 5 more electoral votes may be an uphill battle for Clinton, that Trump is going to win all of the swing state ones and lose none of them.

plz no

Tell me this: How on earth are you gonna tell me Trump motivated all these obviously, normally conservative leaning folks to get out and vote. Do they really hate Hillary that much? This is my mindfuck right now. Why is turnout so high in a district like mine? Are these almost definitely conservative people all SUPER EXCITED to vote for Trump or against Hillary?

I don't buy it.

So you're telling me the map will look like this?

Officially +2 in PWC, VA.

Talked to the Democratic rep and apparently there's been no line all day. There has been a steady stream all day, though. I also noticed that they had more voting stations open than I remember. If I had to guess I'd say about double the number they had for the primaries and off year elections. Of those stations while I was there a third to a half were constantly in use. Also, the majority of those going in were taking the Dem sample ballot and there was NO Republican presence whatsoever. Usually there's at least a guy standing there being ignored. So data from my ass suggests a decent but not record turnout at my polling place.

Weirdest part about voting. Was at a middle school. There was a room full of what appeared to be DDR dance pads leaning against the wall.

There are also two high school kids who just knocked on my door asking if I had voted and wanting to beg me not to vote for Trump. One of them is the older brother of my youngest's best friend. (He didn't know it was my apartment). I gave them $10 for lunch each. They're just doing this to stop Trump.

I am legit shocked.

$50/hour, but no kissing on the lips and colors must be pre-separated
Watching this Vegas judge tear this Trump lacky apart as been the highlight of my day...

Fucking awesome. All these stories about HS kids going out and doing what they can to stop Trump and other people like him just warms my heart and gives me such hope for the future. They can't vote themselves, but goddamnit they are making a difference.

It's hard to compare year to year just with lines (as that can change with the machines, how much stuff is on the ballot, whether there's a someone trying to vote who never bothered to register, etc.), you'd need the vote count for each precinct.

+2 for Hillary and whoever else that dem sample ballot I sent my parents said for the Cincy area.

My parents live in a super red area and there was literally no line to vote.

Trump only winning IA by 1% and Hillary winning OH by 1% on Votecastr, and that's only their projected election day results without early voting included?

That would be a dagger for Trump if true.

So, didn't know my Facebook page was public and not private. Posted about voting for Hillary and ending Trumps bigotry and hatred.

This random dude commented on it, saying shit about Trump not being perfect but needed for this economy to get fixed.

Do these people just scan through facebook for pro Hillary posts? How did they even find it, pretty pathetic.

I was talking to a friend this morning, and she was surprised that she got more emotional than expected while casting her vote, because she got to say she voted for a woman for president. It blows my mind that people don't even consider that a big deal. It's going to be our first woman president and people are acting like it's nothing, when it should be seen as a landmark achievement.
