I'm starting to get annoyed by my friends who are bernie stans. They still pretend like he has a chance, and one dude posted this asinine quote from dennis miller about how if you gave bernie all the superdelegates that were "given by the powers that be" hed be winning.

Like fucking get over it already.

It gets better....god damn. What's the delegate situation like for both parties? WTA for repubs?

Winner take all at a 50% threshold. Could be the state that pushes trump past the contested convention scenario.

Ah, but I'm sure voters are seriously considering who would provide the best chance of beating Drumpf, which is obviously Bernie, who, according to virtually every poll, would easily send Drumpf packing :).

The very same poll we are discussing has Clinton up 19% on Trump versus Bernie's 17%. Come back to reality. Also I could beat Trump and I am not even qualified to be president. A pet rock could beat Trump. That isn't some high bar to clear.

Edit: Also I misspelled hear. Shame on me.

It's WTA by Congressional district if you break 50% for the Republicans. Kasich and Cruz will probably take a few districts or at least keep Trump under 50% in them.

They're rated C+ by 538. Not the best poll out there.
The results themselves are frankly nonsense, this poll is not worth considering.

Or we could look at exit polls of people who have voted

On the "most important candidate quality" those who vote for electability went to Hillary

In Ohio, it was 83/17
In Illinois, it was 75/25
In Florida, it was 86/14
In Missouri, 77/21.
In Oklahoma (a state Bernie won), it was 75/25

So, if you want to reframe the race about who voters believe can best beat Trump....good luck.

Absolutely! The American public love our nation's great "social" programs, such as Social Security etc, and will put up a fight to defend them from the Republicans.

they've raise the social security age multiple times, not given raises and privatized part of medicare. All without much consiquence

I don't agree, but to each his own.:) I think that in a fight between socialism and Trumpism, the middle isn't going to flock to the left in the kinds of numbers we need to change the balance of the Supreme Court and take back the Senate. This election has to be about serious competent governance vs bigotry and incompetence as much or more than it has to be about left vs right. I think Sanders' big promises are an unrealistic vision that would be a serious distraction in the General Election.

Sigh. Straight from the candidate's mouth that he's okay with superdelegates overriding the will of the voters. Hypocrite.

While Bernie would support Obama's appointment of Garland, he would retract Garland and pick a new justice if elected.

Is that supposed to be in some way controversial ? Because it's entirely rational to either a) Support Obama putting forward Garland in the current Senate environment while preferring someone else with a different Senate environment or b) Supporting Obama's nomination of Garland even if you'd prefer someone else to Garland.

(I'm about 45% convinced at this point that someone is going to seriously make the argument that Sander's endorsement of Clinton, when it happens, is actually deeply antithetical to the Democratic party somehow. )

I'm not saying it's a bad thing. Just stating it. I'm glad he'd do it.

Bernie's really pushing the electability argument right now.

Hmm, let's consider the options; you can have a "Great wall of Trump" (to keep out the Mexicans, who actually do a ton of necessary work in the U.S. etc), or instead we can put millions of Americans back to work, in good paying jobs, on desperately needed repairs to our nation's infrastructure. I could go on, but I've already dropped the mike ;).
