She is disgusting for low key trying to critic Obama's policies with Israel. She really has this thing where she gives an extra affection to her statements just to please her audience.

Grossed out tbh. An all around horrible person. Let Obama run again.

Seattle is one of the most liberal cities in the country. Some say it is the most liberal city. Sanders doing well there shouldn't be a surprise to anybody.

Can confirm: I live in a liberal utopia. Imagine Star Trek's version of San Francisco just with more temperate weather and better coffee. If all of America was similar to Seattle, we'd be ready for someone as liberal as Bernie now. Sometimes, when coming into the city in the morning on the bus as the rising sun shimmers on the water, I'll play Enterprising Young Men on my phone and just bask in the utter fucking magnificence of my city. I could never be so happy anywhere else in the country. I love it here.

That said, I have to step really fucking lightly these days when talking politics. Seattleites have trouble grasping why Bernie isn't crushing it. They don't seem to want to discuss it so much as shout talking points at me until I shut up, agree or walk away. Tend to pick the later.

“We can’t be neutral when rockets rain down on residential neighborhoods, when civilians are stabbed in the street, when suicide bombers target the innocent,” Clinton said. “Some things aren’t negotiable, and someone who doesn’t understand that has no business being our president.

BLERG

“One of the first things I’ll do in office is invite the Israeli prime minister to visit the White House,” Clinton said, to wide applause.

WHY

“One speech cannot mask her fervent criticism of Israeli policy which has eroded diplomatic relations and left our ally further isolated and under threat,” Reince Priebus, the Republican National Committee chairman, said in a statement after Clinton concluded her speech. “Only a Republican president will reverse this administration’s break with Israel and renew a steadfast commitment which has characterized American foreign policy for decades.”

I'm going to enjoy seeing you unemployed, Priebus.

In terms of foreign policy: Obama >>>>> Hillary which is why Obama having an actual third term would be much better :/

Obama for Secretary of State :(

Disappointed as fuck with Hillary giving AIPAC speech. Like of course she will speak there and sabre rattle with Iran/Hamas. Mad props to Bernie for having the balls to skip this lobby. Sometimes I really like Bernie and hate Hillary.

Yeah, her speech was terrible, just terrible.

Had to argue with a friend of mine who is a sanders supporter. She questioned why she should throw her support at Hillary soon, if Hillary was trailing Trump in GE polls. I posted the link to RCP poll aggregate. She didn't respond.

Bernie wanted Obama primary'd because of his failure to put a single foot into jail after the 08 crash.

Clinton is critiquing Obama for not standing by a proto-apartheid state and not supporting a lunatic prime minister.

She is gross.

I live near seattle, my sister lives in Portland, and from what she told me, some perners have said some really shitty things to her.

It's almost as if the substance of the criticism matters to people!

Of all the things to jump on a Bernie supporter for, being discomforted by Hillary pandering hard to Israel isn't really one of them.

Sure it is, when said Bernie supporter states wanting more Obama, who also pandered to AIPAC. Legitimate presidential candidates pander to Israel, it's what happens

If she knows what's good she'll keep Kerry around for another term, provided he wants to.

Love the perception of Kerry being a loser after 04 also. Poor Kerry, all he can do now is be the most powerful diplomat in the world. And the winner of that election is doing what now?

Why is disagreeing with Obama on foreign policy "gross"? I also disagree with her view on Israel but I would never call her " gross" or "disgusting" because of it. Where do these odd adjectives regarding Hillary come from?

The US has supported various unseemly states for strategic reasons since about forever. It's OK to disagree with her but the insults are a bit much... I'll just never get this anti-Hillary vitriol.

Now all the local Sanders folks are upset that the national media didn't cover the rally in Seattle because it had large amount of attendees.

Yep. Seen posts about that. I think I stifled a yawn even as I read it. I even used the back of my hand to make it extra poncy and condescending. The Bernie fans couldn't see it, but I did it and dedicated the motion just to them. That's what really counts.

"What are we outraged about this morning? Oh, something else that doesn't translate to anything meaningful outside of cheer leading? Excellent. Going back to my Street Fighter tournament coverage now..."

We don't have to accept the status quo here. More and more, Americans are not accepting unconditional support for Israel, especially younger Americans.

In college, the college democrats ALWAYS had an awkward rift between everyone and the "progressives for israel" subgroup. IMO you're always going to have that as a weird sub plank of the liberal base. It's identity politics, foreign policy hawkishness, and electioneering mixed over 60 years. Netanyahu sucks and accentuates how broken the whole arrangement is.

Yup. Kerry's been doing a great job.

It'll change eventually, but not anytime soon. Young people don't vote so generally no one cares what they want. When we all get older and young people turn to old people who vote every election I guarantee you'll see a change in how we treat Israel.

Hillary Clinton the politician is gross for that Israel comment. Politicians are represented and create their public person by their positions and comments.

I can't comment on Hillary Clinton the individual since I don't know her personally. But the politician is gross for that passionate defense of war crimes.

America is in no more position to abandon Israel than Israel is to abandon us.

Honestly I imagine most people in the Obama administration despise Netanyahu and the feeling is mutual. But politics...

People like Netenyahu are why the arrangement is broken at all. If more reasonable groups were in control of the country, there'd be nothing wrong with backing Israel over other countries in the region.

It was like that at my college too 15 years ago. Since then we've suffered through Ariel Sharon and Netanyahu and the rift has grown... it really has brought out just how unbalanced the US-Israel-Arab states relationship is, you're right.

It'll change eventually, but not anytime soon. Young people don't vote so generally no one cares what they want. When we all get older and young people turn to old people who vote every election I guarantee you'll see a change in how we treat Israel.

I think we'll see a change within one generation on Israel, myself, so about 20 years. Obama's relationship with Israel was honestly a major step forward. It sucks, hard, that a Hillary Clinton presidency would be so regressive on this issue.

It's disgusting because to me atleast because she's willing to throw Obama under the bus in order to be warm with AIPAC lobbyists. Just stand with Obama. No need to pander.

Two differences. One, she's using Donald's own language against him, specifically calling him a "loser." Two, she's a liberal woman, as opposed to all the conservative men (and Megyn Kelly) who have been saying these things about him. And if she can goad him into a Twitter war, which seems likely given his complete inability to let ANY insult go without a fight, she can also probably get him to say something misogynistic about a beloved political figure like Warren. No one, even conservative opponents, would ever dare call Warren a "bitch," but with Trump, who knows? And when he fires back with some bombastic nonsense, it's just fuel for the fire for liberals to use come November.

There's a big difference between abandoning Israel and being less unconditional in our support for Israel.

I think there's a strong argument that our willingness, for example, to act as Israel's rubber stamp veto in the Security Council is damaging the peace process in the Middle East and enabling Netanyahu to continue with a policy that is widely accepted as both wrong and unsustainable.

Yeah.. she's baiting him.

I wonder if he realizes it. And even if he does realize it, can he resist that ego urge to fire back?

I agree, but is there anything the US can do about him? I mean, term limit-wise and whatnot. Because if not, then you can only really threaten with negotiation and wait until he's gone. I don't see Hillary missing a chance for a good sitdown with some ME powers since Iran seems open to more of that.

I expect the name calling to begin tomorrow. Or whenever someone shows it to him.

SUPPOSEDLY he actually consulted with policy advisers and has a carefully crafted speech for this

We shall see.

While the form of the building will be visually reminiscent of a greenhouse or conservatory, plant material will be selected for its ability to co-exist in a microclimate that also suits people. To encourage growth and maintain the health of the plants, the building’s interior will include high bay spaces on five floors totaling approximately 65,000 SF and capable of accommodating mature trees. The exterior enclosure will be highly transparent and be composed primarily of multiple layers of glass supported by a metal framework. In addition to a variety of workplace environments, the facility will incorporate dining, meeting and lounge spaces, as well as a variety of botanical zonesmodeled on montane ecologies found around the globe. The building will be anchored at either end by publically accessible retail spaces entered from 6th and 7th Avenues.
