KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANN!

Khan has no right to criticize me in front of millions, except, well, you know, the whole right to freedom of speech and freedom of the press to interview him. But besides those, no right at all.

I don't know why you are all celebrating those personal comments. The whole reason why the Khan's are sympathetic is that they are above the Trump gutter, if they say "yeah and his mother was a whore" then it sullies the whole thing. I hope they are wise enough to continue making him look like the bad guy in their interviews.

Yeah. In fact, it feels like the Trump campaign's whole strategy here is to provoke Khan until he says something that allows Trump leaners to think "well, I guess both sides of this are bad," and write it off.

I think the Khans and his disgusting responses to them have the potential to be big.

He has sacrificed nothing.

He was born with a silver spoon and has coasted along in life being a horrible human.

He has never served anything for anyone.

This draws attention to that.
He's not strong. He's a weak sad manchild who's had everything handed to him.

And he's disrespecting people who have sacrificed loved ones.
He's disrespecting the memory of people who have served with distinction. Who died for others.

And if he had his way these good people would be banned.

Despite what the corrupt establishment media may tell you, the word jagoff is not exclusive to Pittsburgh or even PA. I heard it all the time growing up in East Harambe.
Isn't a jagoff just a marathon viewing of the hit CBS series, J*A*G (Judge Advocate General)?

My great grandfather was born 2 years before Lincoln was shot. Holy shit.

My Great Grandfather was so old when my grandfather was born, and my Grandfather was 52 when my mom was born.

Politics worthy because Lincoln

Yeah. In fact, it feels like the Trump campaign's whole strategy here is to provoke Khan until he says something that allows Trump leaners to think "well, I guess both sides of this are bad," and write it off.

Campaign strategy? Who do you think you are talking about here?

Come on, there's no winning on this for Trump. His campaign is putting out the statement that the closest to an apology they can come without looking weak. They just want to get this off the front page. Khan being interviewed by NYT and MTP extends it, which only helps the Clinton campaign. Its why non-crazy people have speculated that Trump and Murdoch are publishing that picture of Melania to distract the public.

re: Hillary's performance on the campaign trail in the last day or two

I'll speculate!

I'm guessing that Hillary doesn't like the pressure of a must-stick-the-landing major speech. She's admitted that she's not skilled in certain elements of campaigning.

Adding pressure? Pundits claiming that she'd have to give a Gettysburg Address/"Ask-Not-What-You-Can-Do"-tier speech.

So with that major high-pressure moment out of her way, she's on the other side of it with very decent reviews. Her campaign probably has data showing that things are going well, and that she's in strong electoral position going into the final 100 days. Now she can relax and look forward to parts of her campaign that more fit her strengths. And it's showing in her demeanor.

/speculation!

The irony of the statement saying that he has no right to say those things, while turning around and also saying Trump has, in fact, read the Constitution is not being lost on the Internet.

Using the word "right" was a poor choice

They're trying to bury this yet Trump's damaging interview is fresh and won't even air on TV until tomorrow. Why would it be reasonable to think they had this nudity story ready to go so quickly?

That melania thing should be said. If Trump is saying Khan got the speech from DNC, he's in the right to say stfu donald, i'm not a plagiarizer like your wife. However that 3 wives thing can be a different thing, because personal lives, no judging and all that. He was correct to remove it from the speech. But the thing is Khan can call him bitch cunt orange sleazeball, and he'll make Trump angry and continue the perception that he's a thin skinned loser. But yeah, I don't think Khan wants to step into the gutter politics like that.

Oh lord Khan is dragging Trump all the way back to one of his shitty Atlantic City casinos. He really should have just taken the L and moved on but nooooooo:

When is the Orange Goblin's next rally? I'm sure it's going to make his last performance seem like Flash from Zootopia.

Also remember Bernie busters were constantly shouting during her speech.

You try to give a speech relaxed when people are constantly booing and heckling you

This Melania story doesn't seem to be getting any play. How has Trump not tweeted about it yet. He's still crowing about convention ratings (because ratings mean more than votes, apparently) and the size of Hillary's crowds in PA.

One of the biggest take aways (for me at least) is the increase in favorability numbers.

In the last poll among moderates, she was at 40% approval, 48% disapproval.
She's currently at 52/44 among the group.

In the last poll Trump was at 25/67. He's now at 32/63.

Also, check out the favorable/unfavorable among men. She went from 29/64 to 40/56. Trump went down among men. He was at 41/53, and he's now at 38/57.

In H2H based on gender, the gender gap among women is still +16 Hillary. BUT, last month, she was down -13 among men. She's now only down 7 among them. (44/51). Trump didn't lose support, it was all movement towards Hillary.
This is really good news.

Trump rescued from elevator by Colorado Springs fire department, then proceeds to immediately bash the fire marshal a few hours later at his rally for not allowing enough people in.

Could he be any more of a saturday morning cartoon villain?

I am genuinely curious to hear the local Colorado Springs Conservative Radio guy on Monday and see if he mentions this at all...

Also, from what I can tell, the debates go on irrespective of how many candidates show up. They invite the candidates who meet the criteria. If only Trump and Hillary meet it, and only Hillary shows up...then it's a 90 minute infomercial for Hillary.

The optics of that would be insanely good for us. Her standing there with an empty podium next to her. I love it.

The "NOT SURE" people in the PPP poll are fucking weird.

From the Not sure group.

"Do you approve or disapprove of Tim Kaine?"

Approve: 23
Disapprove: 22
No idea: 55

"Does Hillary's selection of Tim Kaine make you more or less likely to support her?"

More likely: 4
Less likely: 32
No difference: 52
Not sure: 12

What the fuck?

The "Not Sure" people also hate Bill Clinton (28/60) and think Hillary is a Satanist (35/35, compared to just 33/36 for Trump supporters).

These "Not Sure" people have raw, visceral hatred of the Clintons.

The "Not Sure" people also love Bernie and the Obamas... but say the Democratic Party is worse than the Republican Party.

Some Bernie Stans are still so mad.

What is this Harambe nonsense?

Socialist and racist Twitter are fucking obsessed with Harambe the gorilla because... dead gorillas are funny?

Damn, I step away for a few hours feeling happy about Trump's collosal fuckup with Khan only to come back and find an awesome poll and further grave digging by Trump. Tomorrow will be a bloodbath.

PPP poll gets added and forecast doesn't change one tenth of a percent. Yet, the passage of time alone shifted it an entire percent today. Incredible.

I say this out of nothing but friendship: step the heck away from 538. You're going to go crazy. Trust me. It's not a fun trip. I've been there. I live there.

ALTHOUGH, having said that....

The fact that they weight it lower than the Pew Poll from a month and a half ago is laughable. The good news is they barely unskewed it!

It's funny, in the PPP poll, you have a lot of Trump fans embarrassed to say that they voted for Romney in 2012.

There's a "Who did you vote for in 2012?" question.

It goes.

Obama: 52
Romney: 41
Can't remember/Someone Else: 7

So it looks pretty skewed, right?

... But on the crosstabs the "Can't Remember, Someone Else" group answers as hardcore Republicans on every question.

Trump fans only get embarrassed when it comes to admitting that they voted for Romney, lmao.

Seeing some of my die hard Hillary bashers on Facebook really coming around and supporting Hillary, even saying positive things.

Starting to feel like things might really be changing.

The thing that's making me the happiest is the approval among her favorable/unfavorables. If those numbers hadn't moved, but the topline numbers had, I think it would be less likely for this to be a sticky bounce.

I think the convention really helped to push her favorables in the right direction.

She ain't gonna stay thrown!

Well that's......something.

How can only 22% of people disapprove of Tim Kaine's work, and yet he makes 32% of people less likely to vote for Clinton? Assuming 10% jumped from the no idea pool, shouldn't you at least get a better idea of the VP candidate's work before deciding how it makes you feel about Clinton's choices? That's not even touching the absurdity of the satanist comment....

"Do you believe Hillary Clinton should be in prison?"

18-29 year olds: 40% support imprisoning Hillary, 39% against.

This is literally the only age group that supports imprisoning Hillary.

Come on, guys.
