I think it's actually not true. Despite getting mauled in the second debate, despite Benghazi, despite 47%, Romney sill got 47%. I really believe you are guaranteed 45% in this country even if you go shit on the Lincoln memorial steps.

Suburban Long Island here, my friends are 50% apathetic, 40% Trump, and 10% Hillary. The Trump fans are generally some combination of raciest and coming from a Republican household. Actually come to think of it quite a few of the apathetic ones and the Hillary supporters are racist too, though to lesser degrees mostly. I mean, I'm not shocked by it anymore. I'm right next to Levittown which is still almost 90% white. *Shrug*

If nothing else it keeps me from falling into a liberal bubble. I know not everyone agrees with my views, it gets confirmed every day.

Trump's lack of discipline is the gift that keeps on giving. He seems physically unable to move on from a damaging news cycle until he gets the last word. We saw it with Judge Curiel, we're seeing it now.

A lot of what's holding Trump's numbers up is Clinton's unpopularity. He's still going to struggle to get 45% I think with the Gary Johnson vote.

its not like clinton is a political mastermind. she barely beat a 70 year old socialist from vermont who out fund raised her while she had the entire DNC pulling levers for her. she is just the lesser of two evils and can ride the popularity of obama into this election.

This is worse because Curiel, as a federal judge, couldn't respond. Khan keeps coming back so Trump can't give it up or else he'll feel like the loser. That's why his allies like Roger Stone are spreading horrible stuff about the Khan's.

During his stump speech last week he spent a hilarious amount of time suggesting he meant "bleeding from her nose, maybe her ears?" because a Hillary ad brought up the Megyn Kelly "blood coming out of whatever" statement. I know 5 year olds that are harder to bait and come up with better excuses for doing or saying stupid things.

She could have taken his knees out from under him early. She didn't for obvious reasons, the least of which was that she didn't need to. It wasn't close. There was never any reason to do so. That's what gave his supporters more hope than was strictly rational.

But,seriously, can someone walk me through what Trump is trying to say? I don't get it. Like, at all. I just don't.

You know what I love about people like you ? That Clinton gets shit on both ways. She is attacked and mocked for winning because she "cheated" and "rigged" the system, which is "obviously" the only way she could have won, and at the same time, she is mocked by these same people for "barely" beating Bernie Sanders.

And people wonder by Clinton is viewed so negatively? Because anything she does gets shat on a million ways to Sunday, and twisted with some conspiracy theories as well as some indirect misogynistic bullshit. Here is the first female nominated for President of the United States, a pretty massive fucking accomplishment in and of itself, yet she is jeered and mocked for how "pathetic" her "close" win was, and how she "barely" able to beat her opponent.
