So, basically, what had happened, right?

Cruz comes out and gives his speech. Doesn't endorse. Tells people to vote their conscience. The delegation from some states tried to chant CRUZ. So the delegation from New York started booing him. He kept talking over the boos.

Trump randomly comes into the arena while he's speaking. The screen behind him goes out. The lights fuck up in the arena. He was supposed to speak for 9. He spoke for 23 minutes. Throwing the schedule off, and knocking Pence out of Prime Time.

They had to escort him and his wife out. And, at one point, physically restrain a donor from physically attacking Cruz.
Holy shiiiittttttt The Red Sox and revs games were awesome but I definitely made a mistake tonight in not watching this. FUCK

The best thing about what Ted Cruz did tonight is it's going to get under Trump's skin so, so badly. He won't let this go. He will drag this story out way longer than it would otherwise last.

So the questions the media will ask that will really get under his skin are updated to include:

Why didn't you prevent Cruz from speaking given you said endorsement was a requirement AND you had the speech in advance?

If Melania is so smart, why didn't she recognize the plagiarized MO quotes she had your hireling type out once she got the final copy of the speech?

If Hillary is so terrible, why are you losing so badly?

Ted Cruz must of known that once he was on the stage, there was gonna be nothing they could do to fucking stop him. Damn smart man.
I hate him but that took massive balls.

Trump walking out there for a second and then bolting was fucking weird
He didn't want to walk out and greet Pence. His body language implies that he was surprised. I think Pence probably doesn't want to reveal a lot of his true feelings about Trump. After all, he has one job.

So I feel like the Cruz betrayal won't work out well for the party in the end. It puts a stopper on whatever supposed party unity might have come out of this week and worst of all it gives an excuse for the hateful in the party to fall back on when Trump loses.

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
I'm going to call it right now: Cruz wins the 2020 primary and the GOP changes the rules at the convention to take his spot and give it to someone else.

Everybody in the party hates the guy. Everyone.

Leslie Sanchez, the Republican analyst on CBS is pissed about Cruz. (They don't identify her as a Republican strategist though).

Even if tomorrow night somehow goes decently for the GOP, Team Clinton has the option of deliberately toying with the press on her VP selection. She gets to step on Trump's dick if she wants to.

This week..

Whoever won was doomed to lose.

Yay for Democrat demographic advantages! :D

Wasn't even referring to that war. Trump's political ambitions are dead come November, and Cruz has turned a string of defeats at his hands into a springboard to rise again. Trump is really that dumb.

Honestly, forget a bump for Trump after the convention, I think Hillary actually pulls away from Trump by a point or two after this shitshow. It ain't Chicago in 1968, but it's not too far off.
