We tried to respond to your original Yelp review, but the public comment we posted disappeared.
Please know that Jim and I, the owners of Red Maple Cafe, were shocked and deeply saddened by what we saw in the image when it was first brought to our attention. We have a zero tolerance policy for hate and that is conveyed to every employee during their training and is also conveyed in our employee manual which every employee receives. They must acknowledge by signature that they have read and understand our policies.
We did investigate the matter and the employee is no longer employed by our company. Anyone who has met Jim and I knows we do not condone hate and that we have worked very hard to build our new business and that we set out from the very beginning to create an environment that is safe and welcoming.
Sadly, once a photo is shared on the web, it is difficult to control it. However, we have been working with the various social media outlets to rectify this when it is brought to our attention.
