Heh, there was an interview on the radio earlier and in discussing Trump's non response, someone said, "but the President's daughter condemned the attack" and the other person said "No one voted for her, her words don't matter, there should be no room for nepotism". Then everyone was stunned for a few seconds and they moved on because what else can you say to rebut that.

You can't ignore TV based news when it still has such an effect on the populace.
People shouldn't be ignoring TV based news for that reason especially.
They should be PROTESTING TV based news for distorting the truth and normalizing political rhetoric as fact-based reporting.

Yep. People want to hear what the king has to say about his country. Not the princess who's just there to put a pretty bow around the castle.

Attended a candlelight vigil for the victim last night. They did a great job of inclusivity, with speakers from across all faiths and walks of life. Of course the shitbirds couldn't resist, so an obese older guy showed up with a confederate flag and was later joined by 20-somethings with "Redneck Lives Matter" and 3%'er tshirts.

Sessions. Taking a stronger stance against Neo-Nazis than Trump. Gotta love this country.
I refuse to believe Sessions is less racist than trump. So like did he learn a neonazi once smoked pot?

This could actually be huge if it means the elites in NK turn on the regime due to their Cognac supply getting cut off
Kim will die from cheese withdrawals before they run out of cognac.

I would say Sessions is smarter so he can hide his racism better, plus being a politician, he knows calling out nazis is free points, cause who are the nazis going to vote for? the democrats? LOL
Trump is racist and has no idea about doing proper dog whistles.

This. Sessions knows you can't get anything productive done literally marching around with torches and running over people.*

Gives white supremacy a bad name and all.

"Mr. President, do you condemn all white supremacists?": among reporters' Qs for POTUS as he returns to DC for the day. He didn't answer.

Bahahaha.

Tiki Torches basically saying "fuck these nazi fuckers"

“Tiki Brand is not associated in any way with the events that took place in Charlottesville and are deeply saddened and disappointed,” the family-owned company posted. “We do not support their message or the use of our products in this way. Our products are designed to enhance backyard gatherings and to help family and friends connect with each other at home in their yard.”

Obviously they needed the citronella to protect against mosquitos biting their snowflake white skin.

It's not a press conference though. He's just making a statement. I'm sure he will finally say the things he should have said days ago and then get he heck out of there.

And about that..

The problem with the continued begging, ‘why won’t he denounce, why won’t he denounce’ is that at some point, maybe later today, President Trump will go before a podium and read off through gritted teeth a pro-forma denunciation of Nazis and it will seem to a lot of people like it means something when it doesn’t. He’s already made crystal clear where he stands here. The question is how we individually and as a country are going to deal with that fact, not how many more mulligans we’re going to give him. His neo-nazi supporters are truly over the moon that he’s steadfastly refusing to criticize them, even in the face of withering criticism and derision. They get the message. They’re ecstatic. Everyone who doesn’t see this, see that it is intentional, is getting played for chumps.

He's going to say bad things about nazis and think he's a big boy. He'll also say shit about the counter protests tho because he has to both sides.

These terrorists need to be more like Sessions, use the system to kill minorities, then nobody will call you a terrorist.

I got to say, after these last few days, the title of this topic is perfect. Man in the high chair. Kudos.

Well, honestly, sessions was probably like, "goddammit, these guys gotta let me do my ethnic cleansing on the down low with legal cover"

Yep. The damage was already done. Any statement he makes today (if it does criticize the Nazis, White Nationalists, etc.) will be written off by the White Nationalists as something he doesn't mean.

As it should be interpreted that way. If he was sincere he wouldn't just do it because he is being pressured. He would have done it right off the bat the same way he condemns everybody else.

Only stupid people will find this sincere, so, Trump supporters and most Republicans.
