A little worried Trump will try to move Sessions to the DEA to try and fire Mueller indirectly.
Was too busy in LA
A little worried Trump will try to move Sessions to the DEA to try and fire Mueller indirectly.
My happening bunker is always spotless and waiting.
Or they could actually let Alexander, Murray, et al., try to come up with something bipartisan.
Here's my main concern: GOP doesn't want this to happen because they don't want to ever give the ACA credit for doing anything right. A bipartisan group almost assuredly repairs the ACA's issues. GOP desperately wants this to fail, which is why they'll keep pulling the rug out from under these bipartisan efforts.

No reason Sessions would accept this.
He does REALLY want to come after our weed
Wow media is letting trump off easy on pr
Anyone else see Jonathan Chait trying real hard to explain why the GOP, Trump included, aren't technically white supremacists?
He gets bonus points for comparing Ta-Nehisi Coates to the people who think all Muslims are terrorists
... a tiny number of Third Reich cosplayers...
The worst has been progressively happening since 2010, though. First, they took the house. Then the Senate. Then the Presidency, which then allowed them to steal a Supreme Court seat.
They'll maintain power in 2018, extend it in the Senate in all likelihood, and who knows how Trump and the DOJ will try to stifle voting in 2020.
The worst is a given until the next time young people care enough to vote. When that happens, I can afford myself the luxury of beingoptimisticless pessimistic.
The internal combustion engine's days may be numbered in California, where officials are mulling whether a ban on sales of polluting autos is needed to achieve long-term targets for cleaner air.
Governor Jerry Brown has expressed an interest in barring the sale of vehicles powered by internal-combustion engines, Mary Nichols, chairman of the California Air Resources Board, said in an interview Friday at Bloomberg headquarters in New York. The earliest such a ban is at least a decade away, she said.
Can't indict a sitting President.

Kevin McCarthy @GOPLeader
Next week, Im bringing legislation to the House floor that will respect the sanctity of life and stop needless suffering. #PainCapable
Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price took a government-funded private jet in August to get to St. Simons Island, an exclusive Georgia resort where he and his wife own land, a day and a half before he addressed a group of local doctors at a medical conference that he and his wife have long attended.
The St. Simons Island trip was one of two taxpayer-funded flights on private jets in which Price traveled to places where he owns property, and paired official visits with meetings with longtime colleagues and family members. On June 6, HHS chartered a jet to fly Price to Nashville, Tennessee, where he owns a condominium and where his son resides. Price toured a medicine dispensary and spoke to a local health summit organized by a longtime friend. He also had lunch with his son, an HHS official confirmed.
Good stuff. Winning tonight should bode well for our ability to flip the chamber next year.
Ah, I see whats on the docket next
Also, Politico is out for Prices blood

Yeah I'm not fussy about the margin. As long as we win.It'll be close.
FYI Taddeo and Mayaudon are the Democrats.
@mcimaps
VBM only dump.... Tadde down 52-44% -- pretty good for Diaz. Leans him unless Eday is huge surge and pro-Taddeo heavily #flapol
FL Dems suck
Yeah but FL Dems suckIt's more than these are still heavily Cuban districts that still vote GOP downballot, though less than they used to.
FL Dems suck
I seem to recall Florida VBM favors Republicans, but that could very well be wishful thinking.
@mcimaps
Early vote drops and Taddeo now down only 700! 50-47% Diaz lead. This is better for Taddeo.. makes Eday a savior IF its Dem (dont know)
@mcimaps
3 scenarios
1) Taddeo wins eday enough to win
2) Taddeo wins eday but raw # too small
3) Taddeo loses eday because dems didnt show
#flapol
Taddeo is like an eternal loser.
She lost to Garcia in a primary. She was Crist's running mate in the governor race he lost to Voldemort. Won't be surprised if she loses a third time.
@mcimaps
Oh and if anyone cared... HD116 staying solidly in GOP hands.. no shock there
@mcimaps
Hell GOP won the early vote there.. dem campaign was ghost.. wasn't really in play... very Cuban, little dem strength down-ballot
This is honestly something you can only say if you've really only been a sentient adult long enough to see 2 presidential election cycles. A brief examination of US political history will show that Republicans gaining ground while a Democrat is president is the least unusual thing one could possibly conceive of.
Randolph - to your point about needing to win the House vote by 15 points (or whatever) to flip enough seats. Go back four years, give every House D six extra points and they're in the majority. There's never a unanimous margin shift so trying to figure out that math is futile.
Iirc Dems flubbed hard on the candidate here so not too surprising. FL Dems suck.Pretty clear that Perez has won HD-116, keeping it R despite being a Hillary district.
That has nothing to do with what I said?And yet, do y'all remember how optimistic everyone was in 2013 (hint: GOP was doing very bad things) about 2014? Good times.
Pretty clear that Perez has won HD-116, keeping it R despite being a Hillary district.
