Awesome man, somebody re-post the link to that article explaining why your donations are better spent on Senate races...
In general, any contribution you make to a strongly leading or trailing candidate makes little difference in the outcome. Its like voting in Massachusetts or Utah: whether you do or dont essentially makes no difference in the outcome. The same is true for campaign contributions. In the best of worlds, $100 to Obama-Biden or McCain-Palin would move the national win probability by an infinitesimal amount. Even 0.00001% would be an overstatement.
The place to make a difference is at the margins. Take the Georgia race, in which incumbent Republican Saxby Chambliss is defending his seat. In 2002, Chambliss won office by tarring Vietnam war hero and triple-amputee Max Cleland with an alleged sympathy for Osama bin Laden. Now Chambliss is fighting for his political life, and is in a dead heat with Democratic challenger Jim Martin. If you had the choice of driving voters to the polls in Georgia or in South Carolina, youd be dead wrong to pick South Carolina. By the same token, a contribution in Georgia, but not South Carolina, might make a small difference in the outcome.
What your contribution buys. The outcome of the 2008 campaign determines the size of the working majorities in next years Congress. Next year, top priorities for any President and Congress will be the war in Iraq, the financial meltdown, health care, and global warming. It will be an unenviable and enormously difficult task. If Obama wins, as I expect he will, what he accomplishes will depend critically on how many votes he has in Congress. Whether you are a Democrat or a Republican, your point of leverage in this process is the Senate, where a minority of 41 can stop a bill from becoming a law.

I would also pray Lord that your reputation is involved in all that happens between now and November, because there are millions of people around this world praying to their God -- whether it's Hindu, Buddha, Allah -- that his [McCains] opponent wins for a variety of reasons.
Unreal :lol
Last I checked the danger caused by tobacco and alcohol are inflicted upon the person having the fun. And when there is even a chance they aren't... OH HEY, WE HAVE LAWS AGAINST THAT. I don't think his own party cares. They're doing everything at this point, even hypocritical statements and policies, in hope that people only get one side of it.Saint Gregory said:I really, really don't understand what's going on within the McCain campaign. Your broker kept saying, Stay with the portfolio, dont jump ship, and you felt a strong urge to dump the stocks and get into the money market where at least youre not going to lose your shirt, but you didnt do it and didnt do it, and now youre holding a big bag of brown bananas. Me, too. But at least I know enough not to believe desperate people who are talking trash. Anybody who got whacked last week and still thinks McCain-Palin is going to lead us out of the swamp and not into a war with Iran is beyond persuasion in the English language. Theyll need to lose their homes and be out on the street in a cold hard rain before they connect the dots.

"What do you mean, 'Obama's a Christian,' don't you read the news, God? Here, God, lemme show you this e-mail I got. Get Jesus over here too, I hear He's been all idealistic and brainwashed like the other young men.
"Amen."
And in shootings the person doing the shooting usually isn't the person getting shot. Draw your own equivalence.Xeke said:In an alcohol related crash the drunk driver is far more likely to survive than any innocents. And that has killed thousands.
This is how I know you've been blindsided by his liberal smooth-talk. You honestly don't know how is policies are socialist? Anytime a government wants to take control, it's a step towards socialism. He wants bigger government. That's what Democrats are all about, especially the hard-line liberal one. You should know his voting record, which should also tell you how far to the left he is.
Income redistribution is socialist.
Universal health care is socialist. You cannot possibly deny this, ever. This is probably the biggest piece of this puzzle.
Throwing a wrench into private enterprise and the free market is anti capitalism.
You can twist these around however you want to make it look like he doesn't have socialist ideologies, but if you actually know your candidate and how far to the left he's always been, and how far to the left his poker buddies have been, you should know where his mind is.
