Most of the songs (co)written/produced by Cad Kroeger are not my cup of tea, but there's no denying the man can write radio hits. It's his lyrics that are usually the problem.
There's a worrying misogynistic streak in some of his songs:

Eek @ some of those lyrics. And yeah, I can tolerate his voice in She Keeps Me Up because I like the production. But I keep thinking it would be a better song if sung by... anyone else really.

Breakin' Jesus could easily be a B'Day track tho.
GGGB was not a style change lol, she just finally had enough success under her belt to get a full push from the label with songwriters and everything.
Her newfound integrity made her focus on her career; both of these decisions still have people (read: you) talking about them today. Rihanna stays keeping her name in your mouth. Feel free to gag.
