This is my official
Robyn Rihanna Fenty Album ranking. Instead of listing albums from my personal preference i'm doing it in order of release. The song listings are from my personal choice. Bold songs are the ones I really like. However, songs that are
Bolded & Underlined are what I view as her most important from that album. Let's get started.
1.
Music of the Sun (2005)
Her debut album. The Barbados queen was a bit inexperienced with her songs, which didn't particularly having a strong pull. It did however contribute to her first hit "Pon De Replay" which is still a bop today!
Rank: 7.5/10.
- Pon De Replay (Best Music Video)
- Let Me
- If It's Lovin That You Want
- That La La La
- Now I Know
- Rush
- That La La La
- Willing To Wait
- Here I Go Again
- Music Of The Sun
- There's A Thug In My Life
- The Last Time
- You Don't Love Me (No, No, No)
2.
A Girl like Me (2006)
Her 2nd album was kind of similar to first in which she didn't necessarily break out a superstar yet. I feel this album is just there tbh.
Rank: 7/10
- Break It Off
- SOS (Best Music Video)
- We Ride
- Unfaithful
- Kisses Don't Lie
- A Girl Like Me
- Crazy Little Thing Called Love
- P.S. (I'm Still Not Over You)
- Final Goodbye
- Dem Haters
- A Million Miles Away
- Selfish Girl
3.
Good Girl Gone Bad (2007)
GGGB was the album Rihanna needed to prove herself in the music industry & solidify a self identify. Her magnum opus
Umbrella was a massive hit that made her popularity sky rocket, and it gave her her first grammy award.
Rank: 9/10
- Umbrella (Best Music Video)
- Disturbia
- Don't Stop The Music
- Take A Bow
- Breakin Dishes
- Hate That I Love You
- Take A Bow

4.
Rated R (2009)
Her "badass" "bitch i do what i want" era! I appreciate the grunge of this album, and after the unfortunate event which I will not mention, I view Rated R as an indirect comeback.
Rank: 10/10
- Rude Boy (Best Music Video)
- Hard
- Rockstar 101
- Russian Roulette
- Photographs
- Fire Bomb
- Te Amo
- Cold Case Love
- Hole In My Head
- G4L
- Stupid In Love
- Wait Your Turn
- Mad House
- Wait Your Turn
- The Last Song
5.
LOUD (2010)
My personal favorite album, her pop red hear era! She took the Pop game and added her own twist to it which I believed she set herself from the rest during the release. It was a massive global success.
Rank: 10/10
- Skin
- Man Down
- Only Girl (Best Music Video)
- What's My Name
- Cheers
- S&M
- Fading
- California King Bed
- Complicated
- Love The Way You Lie II
- Raining Men
6.
Talk that Talk (2011)
I feel this is kind of her like electronic dance era, when it was popular at the time. There was some experimentation in songs such as We Found Love & Where have you been. Compared to the previous album, I didn't like it as much because the album suffers from generic hits & filler.
Rank: 8/10.
- Where Have You Been
- Birthday Cake
- Cockiness
- You Da One
- Watch N Learn
- Talk That Talk
- We Found Love (Best Music Video)
- Do Ya Thang
- Roc Me Out
- Red Lipstick
- Drunk On Love
- Farewell
- We All Want Love
- Fool In Love
7.
Unapologetic (2012)
This is her urban era with a mix of ballad, and personally her most underrated album. I feel the singles for this album were wrong because her best songs weren't them. This was the only album in full that got her a grammy, and I feel it's a complete experience overall.
Rank: 9/10.
- Phresh Out The Runway
- No Love Allowed
- Get It Over With
- Jump
- Loveeeeee Song
- Diamonds
- Pour It Up
- Stay (Best Music Video)
- Love Without Tragedy/Mother Mary
- What Now
- Nobody's Business
- Numb
- Half of Me
- Lost In Paradise
- Right Now
tl;dr: Loud=Rated R > Unapologetic > GGGB > TTT > Music of the Sun > A girl like me
I'm hoping R8 enters at least my top 3 but we'll see.
