If you are not prepared to handle the (probably barely noticable) drop in resolution on PS3, get the 360 version, or get a 360.

Okay, PS3 people know what can be done. We have seen it done time and time again by first party. It can't be that freakin' hard. And we have also seen teams like Criterion do perfect ports.
Please don't pawn this off as a barely noticeable drop dude. 540p is UNACCEPTABLE except to morons. If it's 640p then acceptable but in my book not for this type of game. Ratchet and Clank squeaks by because Insomniac is brilliant and even then questionable for the 60fps tradeoff.

SO for the last week We've had a few videos of the ps3 version pop up and everyone thought it was ok. We even had a few reviewers who played it say yeah it ran great and looked really good and that was enough to stop infectious retardation from spreading. All it took was a junior commenting on single blurred off screen shot that looks like the guy has a SD tube screen and...this.

Welcome to Alan Wake for the last two weeks or so after 540p-gate hit. Honestly, I don't see the value in discussing something that chews up so much of the thread focus when so very few notice the difference when playing without knowledge of the numbers. I think it's just a big gaping hole in 99% of all official threads and doesn't do a damned thing to influence the future of HD or sub-HD games on the current generation of console hardware. They do in some respect to getting the shaft from these lying bastards all the time. I had this preordered as did I with ghostbusters and Bioshock. There is only so much one little elven poet can take. And for christ Sony owns the damn franchise of Ghost. That was just unbelievable. I at least saw this coming.
