Literally the only thing worth a damn in the entire summer games fest.

It makes me wish Capcom would have just released the trailer on their own accord, instead of latching it onto such a dogshit event. It honestly soured things for me a little.

It'll be awesome though, so I'm excited.

It looks okay. Looks like a PS4 game. I honestly thought the best trailer was Oninusha. Yakuza Shanghai is 2nd best. RE9 a distant 3rd for me. Still will be good but not that insane really.

Crazy good reveal.

They had me pissed on the first half, but the ending reveal hype the hell out of it.

No idea who the character is though.

It looks awesome but at the same time I fear is gonna be in first person which I'm not big fan of.

Isnn't is strange to build it around side games? I bet many people have no idea who alyssa is and that racoon city was bombed.
I had to google it. I never played outbreak

People going crazy over this is hilarious to me. Has to be one of the worst reveal trailers for any RE in recent memory,it barely showed anything. Two generic characters,no Leon or Chris,no exotic location. But hey here's an exciting office location!

And I say this as someone that adores RE and played them all...this trailer was shit.
I can agree that the lack of any gameplay doesn't tell us anything. It's really just a callback to RE Outbreak. I need the gameplay to be more invested because judging by the art design and character models it's probably another RE Engine game.

If they want that immersive experience it better be Fallout: Raccoon City Edition and let us explore the whole city instead of cherrypicking.

I wonder if Capcom used these fake Leon and Jill shit to find out who leakers are.

Or did they just create those models for the play tests to confuse leakers lol.

I'm really glad they are going with a new lead. Pretty lady, classic RE areas, major update from past games visual wise. (The rain puddle in the city holy fuck)

Since it seems to be eluding to RE2, and the lead officer says she's the analyst, I'm assuming we will play as one other character.

It's either Leon or someone else. I think reapproaching the dual protagonist that made RE2 so popular is a great idea.

Alright, here we go! I just really wanna know if this is 3rd person after all. Though based on this trailer horror element seems to be back and that's fucking awesome!

This looks great. We get a peek at past events regarding the Racoon City Outbreak survivors and a glimpse of what Raccoon City looks like years after the bombs dropped

That's my main issue with it. It feels like such a small teaser and outside of that RPD scene and a name callback to a niche part of the RE series that most normies don't even know about there's nothing exciting that tells you anything in the entire trailer.

Love everything about it besides the main character. Wanted to play as claire, jill, or rebecca.

The people who just want to play as the same fucking characters over and over again make me laugh.

So, no Leon/Jill like they were humping in the rumour mills?
Rumors changed a while back to Jill being scrapped and them pivoting to Leon and a newcomer so not necessarily out yet. We'll see

I do want Leon, but I'm liking this new character. Just hope to god it's third person.

So what we know so far:

  1. Main character (or one of main characters) is Grace, Alyssa Ashcroft's daughter (one of playable characters in Outbreak games).
  2. We are going back to bombed out Raccoon City (going back to the origin of RE franchise)
  3. The hallway with curtain and broken window is a call back to dog jumping through window in RE1 mansion
  4. The game takes place in city (instead of middle of nowhere in RE7 and Village), or abandoned area of the city from the look of it
  5. Grace looks like she's early 20s. This means about 30 years has passed since Raccoon City was bombed. We can tell because Alyssa did not have daughter during the Raccoon City incident.

You guys, all jokes aside I am this crying CM punk fan right now.

This is all I've wanted for year(s).

The fact that it's revisiting the history of RE in modern times, and not just another remake, is icing on the cake.

It's going to be my 'visiting Shadow Moses in MGS4' moment.

That FBI cutscene looked like Evil Within 3 from the character model design. Was that misdirection? Because the other shit that flashed later looked like actual RE Engine models.
Nah the whole thing looked RE Engine the whole time. A little dated but still, don't care when Capcom are constantly releasing bangers.

But yeah as for the game.. post apocalyptic RC, more horror and a time skip. Excited AF.

I hope they never return to action orientated RE. I love this darker direction.

Wait... but who played outbreak?! It's not on any modern system and never was on pc.
So weird to connect re9 to that?

No direct connection to 4,5,6,7,8 ... but to re3(ruined city) and outbreak? (ashcroft)

edit: Village plot was so stupid lol

On one hand the post apocalyptic setting(unless that's characters getting mindfucked) is intriguing on the other hand it's Raccoon City AGAIN. RE franchise can't seem to move on from it.

Also, Alyssa was (apparently) murdered 8 years ago. Assuming the game takes place in current year (2026) that would place the event in 2018. Alyssa's last mention was in RE7 in an article she wrote in 2016.

Knew it was something Capgod related because of the hair. Hair in the RE Engine always has a certain look.

But soon as I saw RPD I got hyped.

Looks underwhelming, but then I thought the same about RE6 when it was revealed and it ended up being one of my favourites.

Going back to Raccoon has potential, but I hope it's more than just a nostalgia gimmick.

That's because it's a TEASER TRAILER ffs

Some of you are just looking for reasons to complain lol
