Why do they actually change rackets so much? Is it just because of tension on their racket?

Because I play tennis on a decent level and I change tension maybe after six matches and some training, they do it after three games :p
Not just tension, but after a time the strings don't give you as much spin as when they're fresh. The strings wear against each other, increasing friction and that loses spin.

Serena is following Sharapova's script from last year barely winning three-setters.

Serena has lost the first set in her last 3 matches. She uses that first set to tinker with her game and simultaneously give her opponent a false sense of security before stepping on the gas in sets 2 and 3

Nadal is in peak form. Who could have predicted this after his lackluster clay season?

besides everyone

Nadal is a particularly bad opponent for Sock regardless. Sock has no backhand, Nadal specialises in cross-court forehand to backhand exchanges. It was never going to go well. Honestly, there's no easy way of telling how good Nadal's form is. He's played 3 players outside the top 100 and a perfect match-up.

I am genuinely shocked. Good on you, Sock.

Nice, at least he's not giving up. Taking it to a tiebreak minimum after that is impressive.

The fuck is going on right now?! Cats and dogs living together!

Awesome game by Sock, can't believe the way he put Nadal on the defensive every point. He's probably still going to lose, but at least he's shown he didn't get to R4 for nothing.

Nadal whining about the time violation, typical.

edit: It's impossible for Gasquet to break. How many BP's has he wasted?

I sat next to Jack Sock's brother in a Business Law class for a couple months about 2 years ago. The dude would always be watching tennis matches during class.

Let's go Sock!
