i only play at 1440p but i did upgrade to a 360hz monitor. i only run it at 240 but still i wish i had a bit more power.

i had a 1070 then got a 2080 and now a 4080. so i guess i'll wait for a 6080 or something. the xx90 cards are just way too expensive
360hz monitor? Damn. I have a 165hz monitor which is fine i guess.

I wonder if Nvidia will lower the prices of their cards now they've seen how cheap Intel are willing to go.

Maybe we'll get a 5060 at £300.

I admire your optimism, but Intel are like a fart in a hurricane in the GPU market.

Nvidia will charge $150-200 more for a similar product to Intel's and it's brand name and reptuation alone will win out.

Might bite this time from a 3080.
What are the actual chances of getting one on launch and the best places to look? I got my 3080 in a pre build before.

1080 was probably the last time Nvidia offered great value. I threw my old one in my wife’s WFH PC and it still plays most games fine (that she plays at least).
The GTX 1000s series is still by far the best price to performance ratio plus longevity. The GTX 1070 have served me well for almost 8 years and I'm still using it. Although I'm finally going to buy a whole new PC next year.

Nvidia has said that if their competitors give their chips away, they'll still end up ahead. This isn't a company worried about competing right now.

They need to add fourth person view?
Just like PCs, 21: 9 display, the depth of field like in the Witcher iv trailer, it's not just a cgi, it's also possible on gameplay, we saw tiny bits from current gen games like the medium but we're not quite there yet.

There is no guessing. It explicitly labeled as in-engine. Did you watch the trailer? If not, why comment?

Yes. They said it was pre rendered using the ingame engine. Probably on a 5090 at less than real time frame rates.

Unreal is used by movie productions, as I mentioned.

Was gonna buy 5090 but with witcher4 coming i know i gotta be strong, not gonna get new rig till game launches or i will regret it later on and will have to upgrade it again like i always did for each witcher/diablo game :p

By the time Witcher comes out we will have 6000 or maybe even 7000 series.

GerAlt-Right. Ciriously.
I may sidegrade to a 5080 if DP2.1, DLSS4 and Frame gen 2 end up drastically better than what we have.

Of course I’ll want a 5090…

yeah if it were 100% real time, theyd be slapping you in the face with it and probably show a brief cutscene-to-gameplay snippet.

but it's "prerendered in-engine" so all that tells us is a 5090 (assuming its a 5090) cant do it properly (at least at this time... maybe theyll get there after engine tweaks/improvements).

Can’t wait to upgrade from my 3090 and get double or triple the performance. I just hope I can get my hands on one at launch.

Really excited to see just how much of a beast RTX 5090 will be, and what DLSS 4 will be, also hope to see some sort of an announcement or reveal of the upcoming Doom The Dark Ages running in real-time with Path Tracing enabled since Indians Jones uses idTech engine & that had PT mode.

Second thing I really hope they release that RTX Racer demo to the public to try it out, I bet it’ll have even better graphical quality.

I love these shows because they highlights or show you kind of graphics you’ll expect & get right now & well into the future.

Been saving up all year, and ready for that sweet 5090/ 9800x3d rig.
Recently got the Gigabyte Aorus OLED 4K 240hz as "part 1" of the upgrade. Now for the main course:)

I've saved games like Black Myth, Stalker 2 and Indy to get the best possible experience when playing those.
2025 will be lit!

If you are talking about The Witcher 4, that was CG. Could be in engine I guess since Unreal is used by movie productions now but the game won't look that good.
Why do you think it won't look that good? CP looks really good and this game will have another, what, 4 years? It will strain a 6090 or 7090 when it launches and keep getting updates for a few years. It will be the graphics game probably until NVidia goes back to 10xx numbering or until CP2 drops.

I'm with the same opinion. When the game comes out it will have the hardware power to look as good as it did in the footage.

I have a 3080ti but I am itching to build a new system even though I don't really need one
