Like i said in a previous message, the shipment number isn't important here, but that, if this news is true, a Taiwanese high-tech website established since the late 90s have sources from the supply chain saying that they haven't received any instructions from Sony yet.
To be fair, the number is important, they are saying they will not be able to meet the 12-16 million number, not that all production is delayed. I think the whole think is bunk. A supplier not having shipping directions from Sony does not mean that much in May. Sony knows when and where things have to be, the supplier is not in the know.
No it was more specific than that on the Kotaku topic, concretely that they are late in hardware development and dev kit & sdk "refinement", leaving a rushed and not ready for November impression to my third-party sources.
Which isn't a surprising impression to have at this stage in the development cycle, when there are still lots of moving parts and unfinished tasks to complete. The statements you made were rather reminiscent of the kind of rumors we've heard 6-9 months before just about every other console that's launched.
ps3+x360 both @ 200$ + 1000 games available could not achieve 14mil in 6 months and do you really think a new console with a price point higher than 300$ and a minimal lineup could do such figures ?
I do not think they will get these numbers, was just making up the monthly numbers needed. But how much did the Wii sell when it was on top of its curve in the same periode
Who doubted me again when i said one week ago (link), in front of a lot skeptics, that the situation at Sony isn't the dreamy bed of roses that their PR campaign push gamers to believe ?
