So I'm sitting in hall H and they just showed a trailer for TLoU:remastered trailer and at the end there was an announcement that it's being made into a major motion picture.

The good news is that the project is being headed by Sam Raimi from Evil Dead 2. They're both on stage now. Details to come.

I don't mean to be rude, but I might not be able to get over head shape. Having played the game, expectations are high for the characters' charisma.

I may be really hard to meet the charisma of the game version of Ellie.

"they look similar" is the single dumbest criteria to use to pick actors, especially for a video game movie of all things. it is so utterly irrelevant to the quality of the film, and yet it's the only thing that matters when it comes to video game films? this is why video game movies are always, 100% of the time, complete shit

True. The game also had some quality writing to begin with. The movie has a lot of great material to work with but that doesn't change the fact that movies based on games usually suck.

Set it in the UK instead of USA, have Arya as Ellie, she now uses a sword instead of guns; Christian Bale as Joel with full on Batman voice; Stephen Merchant as David, who instead of eating people cracks jokes; Idris Elba as the black characters that have all been merged into one for the movie to not alienate insecure people; and Michael Fassbender in a wig as Tess. Special appearance of Dinklage as the voice of the clickers.

I agree, looks is the last thing on the totem pole when choosing an actor for this. They have to act like Joel, all the quirks and mannerisms that he has.

I don't think the casting in the OP is real. Not sure why all of this falls information is going around. From what I gather Raimi is simply producing a Last of Us film and that's all we know.

I'm curious about length. TLoU was a 15+ hour game, with the cutscenes clocking over three hours if I recall.

Gonna be curious how they pace it and what they cut.
