You'd be hard pressed to find a better place on GAF for that sort of thing. I added you but if you're not around I'd suggest taking a look at the character sections on the official Skullgirls forums. No doubt you'll find some useful information there.

I think I already have you on my friend's list or was it on PC I don't remember ... in any case I play this game too and haven't leveled up yet because I'm busy with another game in the short term.

Just take it step by step.

Find a workable combo that you can land 100% of the time (doesn't need to be optimal), get used to her style of movement and learning how to consistently instant airdash and airball -> airdash cancel, and then try your best to incorporate resets into the fiber of her game.

Or you could use Cerebella. Pretty straightforward, easy combos, high damage.

I now own Skullgirls on 360, PC, and PS3. If anyone ever dares to imply that I don't support this game I'll punch their face.

Wanna play a few rounds?

Painwheel isn't terribly difficult to grasp if you have experience with how to apply fly based pressure, I think you have experience with Marvel type games, right? The only real difference is that a fly character will remain in flight after doing X normal in Marvel type games while Painwheel has to keep reapplying flight if she wants to continue an air based offensive after each normal. Setting a dummy to block/pushblock can help by allowing you to practice simple drills like Fly -> jMK -> Fly -> jMK or whatever normal you feel like using at the time.

Flight aside, the next biggest challenge becomes learning how to effectively approach your opponent and its what causes Painwheel the most amount of grief in the current state of the game. Right now it's difficult for her to really initiate anything unless she has an assist to cover that approach and an onslaught of effective antiairs and invincible assists can make that task a daunting one. Try to find an assist that allows you to fly close enough to call it to make them block but doesn't put you at a significant amount of risk to get into that range.

If you're up against a Parasoul/DP Assist that knows the matchup uh ... switch characters.

What is my bnb off a j.HK and off of a throw?

I'm currently using Parasoul and Peacock as partners. Though Duckator told not to play Peacock on anything but point...

I feel like I need a character for Painwheel to properly battery for. WTB Brain Drain.

I want to play all of you really. The more practice and diversity the better. It's too late now but tomorrow I'll try to play.

The characters I think I need most practice against are Painwheel and Valentine in general due to lack of match up experience overall, and actually good Ms Fortunes and Parasouls because I'm pretty sure those random ones on XBL weren't even close to being similar to what I could face next week.

What the hell? You have PSN? If you do then you've been missing out big time. I would have challenged you a bunch and you could have fought Keninblack over 9000 times.

Also, we could have fought over who is the best "Solar". It would have been epic.

A friend lent me their PS3 like 3 days ago so I could practice for EVO because my Marvel copy got lost, and I'm buying one when I get to Vegas anyways. All I did was buy PSN cash today for Skullgirls.

Believe me, had I had a PS3 before I would've fought over that title multiple times already.

Worth nothing as well is that if you cancel HK into Flight after the second hit then it's stupid easy to do a crossup jHK. Abuse that.

As for Batteries ... stick Double on the team? She's unarguably the character that can abuse meter the most in this game.

So I just got the Zod DLC for Injustice, and his trait is really similar to Fortune. The creature he summons has headbutt and OM NOM NOM. :p

It's crashed for me three times so far and the online play doesn't appear to work. It doesn't have windowed mode. It's way too expensive.

Someone come play me on PS3. :(

EDIT: Has anyone encountered a bug where the attack data gets stuck on training mode and even resetting the game doesn't fix it?

Bookmarked! I still don't understand this game's combo system. Like, why can't I do the HK bnb after a throw? It breaks at the second c.MK for some reason.

Also, a gentleman I played with in IL did j.MK, fly, j.MK after launcher in his bnb, and I wonder why you don't do that at any point.

Will the upcoming patch destroy these combos?

It's actually a pretty good port. There are issues though, but nothing too major on my end. It'll be fine as long as they support it with a few patches.

...I just remembered who that dude actually was. Sheesh, no wonder I got anhilated; I was playing McPeanuts. On one hand, now I feel better about that, but on the other hand, there goes any slight hope of maybe doing well at EVO :U

Anyone wants to play in like an hour/hour and a half? That realization somewhat returned some motivation that this literally rainy day was taking away (seriously, rainy days kill any and all motivation of mine at anything for some reason).
