I think you get more points if you get a certain amount of kills. I also got 1600 when I came in first on my team and got like 9 kills one round.
One tip for Splat Zones: don't go nuts with shooting your ink once you have control of the zone. Let the other waste time inking bare ground to build up their special meter instead of giving them tons of ink to cover since that builds up the special faster. Play defensive by killing and holding key points of the map.

Blaster are AMAZING in this mode. Well, at least for the current 2 maps because of all the corners and height differences in the splat zones.
Use the one with the bubbler.

Ranked is just chaos. Way too much happening in that tiny square. Bombs, ink strikes, like 8 people, its insane
I feel like the square should be bigger... or there should be more than one. It really is chaos.
It was actually sorbet. I'm not a fan of dairy.

Ranked mode is insane. Still trying to figure out the little intricacies of how to hold control and not have to lose that. Quite the skirmishes in those little boxes.

According to the rules, some maps have two zones.
The whole point is "king of the hill". Two zones would be so arbitrary who won.

splat zones is godly. My team came back from the brink. they had a SINGLE second of capture left and we swung it around In overtime. If we ceded control over for even a moment it was all over. Im seeing them balancing the teams as best as possible by letter grade. That feel when ur the only C+ in the room. I will savor this now

I'm surprised the oil rig doesn't, seems like its made for two!
Think I may be done with ranked mode, or very close to it. I like the mode, but the fact that its so hard to comeback, and the fact that some weapons have a huge advantage for this mode specifically.... it just doesn't feel balanced.

It isn't all or nothing. If the match timer expires, you are given experience base on your performance. If the other team gets all 100pts before the 5mins are up, then you get nothing.

I know many of you are high on the Aerospace RG, but its lack of Bubbler is killing me.
The Splattershot Jr. caters to my very aggressive play style. I know I can keep enemies at bay with my bombs as well as dive right into the fray when I know I've got a Bubbler on hand. I find the Ink Strike cumbersome to use and the mine a poor substitute for the bombs.
Even the Echolocator isn't as useful as the Bubbler to me.
Anyone else feel the same way?

I went in to the local Best Buy to purchase this today. SOLD OUT. I placed an order. It will be in this Thursday. It sucks, but I'm happy that this game is moving copies. I'll take a 3 day delay any day as long as it means this game is selling. I take it this game is worth the purchase??
