Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

The e-liter is too good on the new map. I love it

Yup, chargers are great in the new map...haven't used the E-liter in the new map but I still probably think it will be inferior to the standard Splatcharger loadout (the drawbacks of the E-liter seem too great).

A lot(or some) of previewers and reviewers said Splatzones wasn't for them. But I personally love it. I haven't been getting matched up gotten steamrolled yet, but I have steamrolled others on both sides even when scrambled completely different. I think I've gotten like 18 kills one match. And Chargers are great at quickly reclaiming if people haven't reached the zone.

Wow, if you do well in Ranked you can get a bunch of points really quickly.

I got through level 14 like it was nothing.

Currently have an 8.5+ streak on Ranked, by the way. =)

Had some up and down experiences in Ranked matches, either my team dominated, or my team got dominated. I think out of the 7 or 8 matches, only 1 ended with a countdown. Also, ink strike is legit for claiming territory
Same here.
The thing i dobnt like if that if you loose completly (and thats as easy winning completly) you gain nothing, zero, nada. No experience and no money (money is more important when you are on level 20 though). And its not like you win that much money either per match until higher ranks compared to using an aerospray gold on friendly matches.
That and the incredible slowness to go up even on C- rank makes this mode a little bit shitty, i need more friendly modes (splatzone is fun so will be cool to play it on firendly) and probably never touch ranked mode again.

So far I'm +50 points. Matches have been brutal.

It's a good thing I have the amiibo song minigame so I can play the awesome final boss music while I wait for the lobby to fill.

Anyone know how sudden death works? I feel like I'm the only one who has mentioned it so far and don't know how it triggered. Other team was probably pissed that it did.

I was playing decently this time around, and at the end got in a heated match in Walleye Warehouse. Right when the timer finished, the connection became unstable, so it got stuck on the finish tape. If the map wasn't on the Gamepad I wouldn't have known who won.

Can't get the hang of Splatzones at all. Tried a variety of different tactics and weapon sets and my team lost all but one of five games. The compacted clusterf*ck element is also the opposite of what I enjoy about Splatoon, where it's a shooter where the best strategy is not just heading for the most populated area and killing everything in sight. Getting nothing for losses is pretty annoying as well, will probably stick to Turf War for the most part. Not mad about any of the new stuff to be honest, the almost complete lack of climbing possibilities in Port Makerel is really frustrating, and the NES Zapper doesn't offer anything new over existing rapidfire options. Disappointing.

They should add some sort of audio cue when the time for a team is almost up.

ばかやろろ!!!!!!お前ではもう死んでいるんで!!!!!!!!!

lmao

Been using the .52 Gal in Ranked and works pretty well. Like Turf War your weapon determines your role and one really should play the weapon they have correctly. If you have a shattershot jr or spray you should be down there in the zone to control it. If you have long range then been at the edges and use your specials. Airstrike is good for getting back control but you still have to keep it so timing its use is important I'm finding. Don't fire it off right away. Sometimes not even using it on the zone but a choke point might be better to slow down the other team. For the love of god look up when when playing ranked because people will take the high ground something fierce.

If you aren't using all of your abilities in your weapon set you're losing. I've had a number of matches go to time and some of those are the most intense. In those I've noticed I'm trading airstrikes with the other team, There are seekers all over the place, those ink shields are constantly being dropped , etc. If you have an air strike I think you should fill that gauge first before heading to the splatzone. That certainly helps early on.

I disagree. As someone who has been super unique in using the Aerospray (I know, I'm a special snowflake) the range of the N-ZAP is godlike. It has solid damage, solid fire rate, really good range and damage. The splat bombs are ho-hum but the echolocator is amazing. This weapon is really really good.

Oh wow so you actually have to be in control to initiate overtime. Being in the process of painting the zone WHILE STANDING IN IT apparently doesn't count. Bah

Guys! I'll probably only find time to buy and play the game this weekend sooo do you guys think I'll be crushed by the competition? Or I'll have a sweet time together with other splat noobs :P I was watching the gamexplain stream and if even derrick was struggling, I can only imagine myself xD

Nintendo was all "yeah, it's short range gun!"

Fuck right off

You'll be fine.

No. That should be a different mode. Crazy king

I swear to god I saw a Walleye Warehouse splatfest during the review period where the zone was constantly shifting between either side of the box pileup in the middle before eventually just being centred on the box itself, lol

I know many of you are high on the Aerospace RG, but its lack of Bubbler is killing me.

The Splattershot Jr. caters to my very aggressive play style. I know I can keep enemies at bay with my bombs as well as dive right into the fray when I know I've got a Bubbler on hand. I find the Ink Strike cumbersome to use and the mine a poor substitute for the bombs.

Even the Echolocator isn't as useful as the Bubbler to me.

Anyone else feel the same way?

I prefer the Custom SSJr, I rate echolocation over the bombs, its probably my fav special.
