Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

I need to learn Japanese so I can be specific with my rage. How can I yell obscenities at people if I don't know how to say their name? This is a real problem that Nintendo needs to address.

PS: N-ZAP is god tier.

I know many of you are high on the Aerospace RG, but its lack of Bubbler is killing me.

The Splattershot Jr. caters to my very aggressive play style. I know I can keep enemies at bay with my bombs as well as dive right into the fray when I know I've got a Bubbler on hand. I find the Ink Strike cumbersome to use and the mine a poor substitute for the bombs.

Even the Echolocator isn't as useful as the Bubbler to me.

Anyone else feel the same way?

I felt the same way until splatzones. Obviously every mode is gonna be different, but my whole squid world has been turned upside down now. Adjusting is a bitch :lol

I just unlocked them, its time

They're not as good as I thought initially, it's easy for the enemy to break the lock because they don't turn fast, but if you can surprise someone and have a straight shot, it's an easy kill. And you can slink away as a squid in that second or two while the seeker is on its way, which is nice.

Ranked is insane but in the chaos it allows me to perch atop in Saltspray Rig on the enemy side. It's worked so well in every game I played tonight. That + the Seeker and the .56 Gal and man they don't see it coming.

The new map is really interesting, too. You have to utilize both the high-ground and low-ground to break through to the center and get to enemy territory. I look forward to playing more of it tomorrow... when the maintenance isn't going on (and hopefully it'll be in rotation as well).

I'm also interested in how the other maps will play out in Splat Zones. I've only had the pleasure to play Saltspray Rig, Urchin Underpass wasn't getting picked for me. :/

The first thing I do on that map is run for the enemy perch.

Also, I discovered the ledge next to it is a perfect place to guard the "entrance".

One more thing, splat zones is a great mode to put those "spawn points" to use (I forget what they are called). The enemy will be expecting you to appear from your base. A spawn point off to the side is amazing.

It's too good. They fucked up.

You have to capture both zones for them to count as yours (again, according to the rules).

I'm curious to see if that makes for more engaging matches. I wonder what else, if anything, they could do. The most fun I've had in this mode so far is the one match that was actually super close.

Shit I just barely made Rank 10 in normal mode. Now I got more of a grind to do? D:

I think trying to get to level 20 on turf war first so you can get better weapons would be better.

Its what I'm gonna do. I might play a bit of ranked every now and then but its not my focus.

KO bonus seems to go up as you rank up. 2100 points for a win in C-rank, holy shit. (1600 KO bonus + 500 win bonus)

I wonder what a win gets you in A+ rank....

ばかやろろ!!!!!!お前ではもう死んでいるんで!!!!!!!!!

Ranked is fun by my god the teams can be idiotic at times, really frustrating to get penalized despite performing well. Rank shouldn't be tied to your team mates imo, but your individual success even if you lose.

It isn't all or nothing. If the match timer expires, you are given experience base on your performance. If the other team gets all 100pts before the 5mins are up, then you get nothing.

I have not played a single match yet where it has lasted 5 minutes. Even ones that were very back and forth ended before the timer ran out.

Yeah that's exactly where I perch on Saltspray Rig! It's ridiculous. You can just hide in your own ink, enemies don't realize you're up there and you can just shoot them from above ezpz. And it's really easy to guard yourself as well if you check behind you and even fill the space behind you with ink to make them waste time to try and climb up to the perch to get you.

In reference to the spawn points, you're so right. I had that experience where one or two of my teammates had that spawn point thing and they placed them in the area where the crane is on Saltspray Rig. Complete lifesaver as it allowed me to get right back into the action to gain control of the zone again when time was running out.

What the fuuuuuuck my other three teammates disconnected so it was me vs. 4 the entire game. I got a lot of kills though!

The meter build up for both teams can get so crazy if they're just constantly painting over eachother's ink.

...what an insane game for nintendo to release, my word
