Thanks for the replies :) I might actually try this one just to pass time until GW2 even though right now the Star Wars setting is putting me off.

How's the UI customization? Can I move shit around and lock them in place? Is it possible to change the color? I don't like the blue.

A recent beta video of this looks nice, but I guess some people might disagree. C'mon now GW2 or D3, get released already. I'm having withdrawals from MMOs :-D

The only part of the UI that can be moved is the chat window, the UI is literally unmovable/unchangeable otherwise.

Please give suggestions. But let's not go and make it image heavy as some of the other OTs.

Main thing I want is section image headers like the ones Dark Souls OT has http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=448930

But never Billy or me are good with graphics. lol. I will whip something up if nobody else can do it.

Needs a billion gifs so that anyone who can't load the page have no business playing the game.

Everything looks great so far! Added the Crew Skills section in and I'm writing some FAQs right now.

What do you think could be improved?

Images are fine as long as it doesn't cause the thread to hit the next page alone.

I think they would actually tighten up the OP here if used correctly.

I'll edit this with an example. Give me a few.

Edit: Yeah... No. Nevermind. Prob not for the best to have everyone pulling you in different directions.

OP is looking good, thank you for including that crafting image and info, I've seen a similar one but this one looks a lot better, much cleaner, will be referencing it in the future. Once the server names are known it would be good to update the OP so we know which server to join in case we want to meet up with Gaffers later on.

What shitty news to wake up to. No grace period after they explicitly said there would be?

http://www.swtor.com/community/showpost.php?p=8064577

Well that is really shitty. I pre ordered the hour it came out and amazon says I won't receive the CE until sometime after the 25th even with paying for the fastest possible shipping.

Good job ea bioware.

Let's launch during a holiday period, the busiest possible period for mail and not give a grace period. $175 to wait a week or more to play after launch, feels great.

Anyone have a link to a really in depth FAQ for all the little intricacies? Like what the different stats are (like INT, etc.) and shit like that? Like I'm looking at the database and a lightsaber has stats that increase expertise and power? The hell?

And I notice some jedi moves cost force (obviously) but what's the average force pool size? I know that depends on level...but does anything govern it?

I'd just really like something in-depth. The DBs are great for just items, but anything else for a clueless dude who really wants to play (was a hardcore raider in WoW before WOLTK).

Also, a lot of the items have Armoming, Mod, Enchancement--what is all that shit?

Example:

Rakata Enforcer's Headgear
Binds on Pickup
Head
645 Armor
Durability: 100/100

Total Stats:
+122 Cunning
+105 Endurance
+48 Power
+51 Accuracy Rating

Item Modifications
Armoring (58)
+61 Cunning
+44 Endurance

Mod (58)
+61 Cunning
+37 Endurance
+11 Power

Enhancement (58)
+24 Endurance
+51 Accuracy Rating
+37 Power
Augment: Open
Requires Level 50
Requires Medium Armor

People do poopoo Gamestop (for a lot of good reasons), but when it comes to PC game preordering, I want a game the day it is out, and the only real way to guarantee that is a Brick and Mortar solution. Shipping is too shifty of a variable.

That being said, I wouldn't go with Gamestop for console games ever - they might take them out and 'rent' them before you pick up your copy. PC games are pretty safe from those.

I can't see the logic behind getting rid of grace period especially when your game is coming out 5 days before Christmas. What benefit do they get from this?

What about something like this?

I can stretch it out further if you like. You can throw in some appropriate font in there for headers if you want to use it.

Bait and switch for Pre-Orders. Shitty.

Either way, if Amazon delays mine I'll just run over to Wal-Mart or GameStop on the 20th and return the Amazon copy one way or another when it arrives.

No grace period is stupid. I get to play it for however long my head start is then have to wait 3 days for it to be shipped to me after release to play it again.

I do hope they reconsider the grace period thing before the 20th. I got a feeling they will if there is enough complaints about it.

In their minds the headstart is the grace period, but naturally doesn't work unless everyone who preorders gets thier game early. Games should start shipping soon so that everyone has their game by the 20th. It's gonna be a mess on the 20th, what is the logic behind early access to stagger load then boot everyone off the server and force them to log back in? Makes no sense.

Did they really do this? All I remember seeing on the main sites was '30 Days Free'.

Yea the initial statement was that there would be a grace period of unknown length to be announced later. Now Europe gets it released first and the US has to wait for retailers to get in on the 20th. Then there's also the factor that some people have talked to Amazon and some reps are saying they won't even receive the game till the 20th.

Our sales and marketing teams are working closely with retailers in the US and Europe to ensure that copies of Star Wars: The Old Republic will be delivered in time for launch day.

In Europe, game copies will be available at retail starting on December 15, 2011. For those of you in the USA and Canada, game copies will be available at retail starting on December 20, 2011. For those of you who pre-ordered digital editions of the game from Origin.com, you will be emailed your Game Codes starting December 16, 2011.

As soon as you receive your Game Code (AKA 'product registration code'), be sure to enter it on your account under Code Redemption, because as soon as you enter the code you will receive your digital entitlements in-game (i.e. digital items included with the game edition purchased). Remember, your billing cycle will not start until official game launch, on December 20, 2011 at 12:01am EST.

There will be no ‘grace period’ post launch in which those who are in Early Game Access will be able to continue to play the game. In order to continue playing past the Early Game Access period, you will need to enter a valid launch game code and payment method. Please read our FAQ for more information. We apologize for any previous messaging which may have led you to believe otherwise.

This is really a spit in the face to the people who preordered the CE.

Wow. BioWare's really been sucking with the Collector's Editions lately.

First the DA2 Sig Edition being sold past the deadline, and now this.

There's no weather, day/night cycles or anything in the game, so it doesn't really matter if it's East Coast, Central, etc. At least in my opinion.

It matters for organizational purposes.

Raids are terrible to organize when people are all over the place, especially if they are in Australia.

Give it a month or two and there will be the ability to buy into the store. EA can't help themselves. They enjoy money.

Cant you already? I saw at a cantina one of the bar tenders was selling VIP access for a million credits. I hope that was just some beta thing or something, cause that would be kind of disapointing, I like having something special from my CE.

I suppose that's true. That would be a problem no matter what server was chosen, honestly. There will be people playing who are from all over the world. It'll make organizing events tough regardless.

I'm pretty sure buying VIP access doesn't give you access to the collector's store. Still, I would not expect that to remain CE exclusive.

Just read about the Early Access starting on the 13th. Yay!

Disappointed about no grace period though.

People can purchase access to the VIP area for 1 million credits in-game but they won't have access to the Collector's Edition store.

Not sure why people were upset at CE people getting an exclusive area anyway. There's practically nothing interesting up there except for the store.

I can guarantee this has something to do with EA/Origin. The more people who cancel their b&m order the more orders for Origin. Makes me sick.

Except B&M is not the problem, if you pre-order at one of those you will have your copy on the 20th.

It's the online mail orders that will have trouble getting into people hands on the 20th. So if anything, B&M are insisting on this to encourage people buying from them rather than online.

Not only that it seems to only be a NA distribution problem. EU distributors are able to get the game shipped out by the 15th.
