Is there a website that breaks down every class and their subclasses with how they play? I know the official site has it but it's not iPhone friendly and I can't get any information out of it. :/. Also what would be the closest class to a wow rogue or a daoc infiltrator? I just wanna sneak up and kill people

The Jedi Consular Shadow / Sith Inquisitor Assassin are the stealth classes (also capable of being Tanks).

Edit: Apparently Imperial Agent Operative and Smuggler Scoundrel also get stealth.

Ya, I think the biggest factor in this is the fact that we know there are going to be thousands of douchebags roaming lower level areas to gank. I'm sorry, but after battlegrounds I really appreciate being able to quest freely and PVP when I want to. MOST open world PVP is ganking. It's very rare that you get fair and fun open world PVP, and considering this is a PVE heavy game, I'm okay with that. I'll be joining the GAF Republic guild.

At the start it's not too bad, but when everyone is rolling alts, I know I'm going to kill somebody, finish my quest in the area and then all of a sudden a high level main is gonna show up and wipe the floor with me. It's not real open world PVP unless they restrict people to a single toon on a server.

Ok. Go take a look at any game that is slated for release sometime at the end of this year but with no official release date. Oh, what's that? Amazon says December 31st? I bet there are lots of games coming out December 31st then....I mean there certainly has been in past years...oh...wait a sec...

The Amazon date is a placeholder as they require a release date in their system in order to take pre-orders.

They're doing public beta weekends in September. They wouldn't be doing that if it was coming out later than October.

They can keep the open weekends going right up to launch, so who knows. Lot of open beta periods go right up to a few days before final release.

As long as there isn't anything story related being spoiled, i say bring it on! Hearing more about AC will help me decide what i want to roll as for my first play through. And as for screenshots, always love to see new armor designs and environments.

Actually now that i think about it, wouldn't it be suicide to release this game in Fall when SO many of the big games hit though?

But basically it goes something like this... I will not do PvP ever again unless the developers of that particular MMO force a 1:1 character creation with limited slots per account per PvP server.

No fucking way in hell do I want to get myself in a situation like WoW where its anywhere from 3:1 - 5:1, and that makes it pretty much impossible to do much of anything except try like hell to avoid the opposite faction. If you find yourself in the minority, you won't be doing new content for the first few weeks its out until the zerg from the opposite faction has moved on. Oh its a lot of fun if you're the dominant faction, but its pure fucking hell if you're in the minority.

I like pvp whether I am the underdog or a part of the dominant faction. Sure, I might rage occasionally as the underdog, but it's still an essential part of the MMO experience from my perspective.

Agree. I tried rolling on a PvP server, and it seemed to me that players of the opposite faction were more interested in just griefing players than actually playing the game. It did harden my resolve a bit more and after a few months I wasn't really even concerned with getting killed by other players anymore, it just came with the territory. It took me awhile to get used to it though, and I hated it at first. It's something you have to commit to and just accept, sadly.

In the end I opted for PvE because I was more concerned about experiencing the game than giving the opposing players hard-ons by killing me 12 times before I logged off.

Because its also part of a game. Some people play mostly for pvp, not PVE, because its a MMO game, not singleplayer/coop game, its about interaction with strangers or on bigger scales. I remember for example that one week i deleved my char in L2 about 10 levels because of pvp - I'm that kind of a player that when i see enemy/player i try to engage.
PVP is for many people the biggest part of MMO, so why shouldnt they be able to make it?
And why do they choose world pvp? Because it allows for more unpredictability and more 1vs1 scenarios.

PvP servers have their moments. Though the game seems to have a lot of area's of PvP available to use whenever you want so I don't see the issue of PvE servers. Plus I want my world boss kill to go in my favor

I don't give a shit about my "e-peen". If I want to prove myself in PVP, I'll go to the PVP areas. Sometimes I just don't feel like it, but with PVP servers you're always subjected to it. Nothing more frustrating than getting ganked continually every time new content launches. Even if you are on the dominant side, if you end up in an isolated area with a pool of enemy players then you fall victim as well. It's not even remotely fair and no amount of skill will save you at 10:1 odds.

Yup DC universe was the same, I was a villian and unfortunatly there were a lot more heroes out there to kick arse, it was never a fair fight, hard to enjoy a game when your spending all your ingame money repairing your gear every time you get ganked.

It wasn't a huge cost (it cost more if you died via PVE) but it was still annoying.

This is why I'm almost glad I'm not in the beta. At least I won't get attached to characters and want to level the same one again, but then being required to start from square 1 yet again. On the other hand, at least being in the beta would give me a warning as to the quality of the game. Right now we only get vague comments. Negative ones never get fully fleshed out. I'm almost wondering if the cake guy is filtering bad comments cause most of the Q&A sessions he runs are full of praise.
