This may be the dumbass who got his guild banned:

From his tweets to David Bass begging for his account to be unbanned it sounds like he set up a stream of gameplay footage and posted it for his guild.
Not him. From what I can see from it tweets it sounds like his brother was invited to the beta and he was using that account. Doesn't look like it was part of the guild invites.

Question. Not sure if you'd be NDA under this but with the space combat, does your level have any effect with space combat? Or is it purely on upgrades to your ship?
I'm pretty sure they've already confirmed that it's separate.

George Lucas ruined Star Wars years ago. It's dead to me.

Am I the only one who thinks this game looks completely unimpressive?

Voice acting is emotionless, animations and combat look completely average. I want to be excited about this game but the gameplay I've seen has done nothing for me.

To each his own but I am pumped for this game!

I personally like what I've seen so far and I'm still looking forward to the game but you're definitely not the first person to express disappointment with the game.

Midichlorians never bothered me. Of course there's a scientific explanation -- there always is.
They're the dumbest things because the force is still basically magic. It's like considering alchemy to be chemistry.

I thought the force was more akin to chi than magic? I mean I can't be certain as I have not done the lore research required, but it's an energy that flows through all living things in the star wars universe is it not?

That was before midichlorians. Then it was those things doing everything, but with no explanation how. So it was still basically magic.

I don't really understand it.

Midichlorians are not the force or use of the force, they are supposed to be the reason why beings can use the force. They are just conduits of the force to the being using it.

It's nonsense that didn't need to be explained and too many took away the mystical nature of everything.

Lucas is so independent, Fox, nor any of the other producers can't say shit to him, they just promote the films & make money. He's a smart man, and yet completely out of touch with his own IP. His daughter will probably run things when he goes. Hope she knows what the fuck is needed. Stay out of the IP's way & let creative people shape it in the future.

edit: which he does now for the most part, but the movies george, let other people handle the movies.

Lucas is a lot like Seth Macfarlane to me, two people I have a lot of respect for and I would probably get along swimmingly with in general philosophical conversations, but who haven't worked on anything I'd call entertaining for several years.

Wrong daughter, one is a MMA fighter, the other actually has been working as a writer now for the Clone Wars.

If I remember correctly she wrote some of the better episodes from last season, well at least I think i read that in the CW official thread. I am waiting for the Blu Ray release to watch it.

Yes the episodes she wrote for season 2 and 3 so far have been some of the best ones to come out of the show. She seems to be really good with Star Wars so far, and she also seems to respect the EU as well which pleased some fans.

/Sit = Wall of Crazy
Customizing your char after creation = Wall of Crazy
Pazaak, a game you created = Wall of Crazy

Hutt Ball = MUST BE IN SHIP!

You have to /sit to play pazaak, that's why pazaak didn't make ship. Obviously!

Your character animations in this game leave something to be desired. People are going to be staring at that shit for hundreds of hours.

Eh, looks very smooth right now. Only issue I see is the repetition but doesn't help we keep getting low level character videos with people having only a few abilities so the same abilities get spammed over and over. Would like to see long game previews like that with some higher level content/characters who have more visual flair and abilities.

Seems pretty responsive or at least like combat is going on too unlike in LOTRO and WAR with how disconnected the animations were with the combat.

Thanks for the link! It's cool to see the actual flow of gameplay. I really like how there aren't any loading screens between those instance portals. One small complaint, TB made a big deal about how expansive the environments were but they didn't even seem as large as WoW spaces. Every direction he turned the camera you could see the walls of the zone. Compare this with the wide openness of the starter zone for humans in WoW.

Thanks for the link. Didn't know TB did a WTF for this.

My favorite part of that video was when Reid wasn't paying attention to his health and died, just like he was the 1st to die during the live raid demo.

Heh yeah. I'm glad that happened though because I was curious about what happened when you die. Seems similar to Rift, either res yourself where you died, or be forced to res at the grave if you die over and over.

Eh so far SWTOR pvp doesn't look all that good to me. I was reading up on the PvP in GW2, and that sounds pretty cool. Why can't this game have something like that?

I've been a MMORPG player for more than 11 years and after playing the game for a few hours at gamescom 2010 and 2011, I have to say Guild Wars 2 has some features that would pretty much kill PvP for me (and a lot of other players I know).

Getting rid of dedicated healers pretty much means less depth for PvP. People may argue that's not true, but personally, I know not a single MMORPG PvP veteran that would disagree. Healers have been key in grouped MMORPG PvP since pretty much forever. Also, GW2 allows players to bind an entire skillchain / combo to a single keybind (it's even in the default settings). That's a pretty big dent in how much skill is required to effectively control your character (at least for DDs). But that's not enough. It's actually possible to set action bar slots on autocast. That's right. You can actually tell the game to perform spells for you. I don't even know why anyone would want that in an MMO, but it's absolutely ridiculous in a game with PvP.

And regarding SWTOR PvP: Devs hinted at a PvP planet on Comic Con and said they did not reveal all the PvP content yet and will talk about more in August (probably at PAX).

Question for CzarTim, any thought of who if anyone we are gonna ally our guild with? I know the GAF Empire will be an enemy anyone else in mind?
