Hm never tried those classes, I thought they didn't have as robust stealth as the other two.
Most WoW guilds are filled with people sick of WoW. Lot of these big guilds constantly try something else but if it doesn't do well or bunch of the guild stops playing, the whole guild drops the game or just leaves a tiny portion of the guild behind, but to stay in many of these guilds players have to participate and they are called back to playing WoW. See it with tons of guild, they are full of people sick of WoW but so many MMO's have failed. The expectations of a game coming out with the sheer amount of polish as a game thats been out for 7 years and have some of the biggest financial backing? Pretty ridiculous. They try the game at launch, see the issues, and immediately write it off.
RIFT was the most polished MMO launch in a long time, yet even with tons of polish, it didn't have huge success, though it did succeed at garnering a large niche. While RIFT was polished, it still had many issues as well though. TOR is looking quite polished at this moment, still has some issues but compared to the disasters of past MMO launches, it looks like it should do fine. This isn't like the countless other MMOs where the beta showed a clearly unfinished and very borked game going to market like WAR and AoC. No game is going to launch 100% though.
But still stands, players want something new when it comes to MMOs, and this is probably the most hyped MMO in a long time. My GF's guild has over 200 folks all hyped up for TOR. Have they dropped past games? Of course, but what really has come out that was actually good without multitudes of launch problems? RIFT is all I can think of and that game suffered from having next to no hype, but still has kept a plentiful player base even if they can't break 1 million, it keeps them going and doing well.
