Sweet, time to read the beta forums. Being unemployed is so fun.
First time I was in test I became recently unemployed, so yeah I feel you. Thankfully this time I've got tons to do.

Mine is 'only' downloading at 1.1 MB.
Can't wait to play this weekend. My comp should be able to max everything. Probably won't be buying the game on launch though, don't know if I want to jump into a new MMO now with all the other games coming out. Also, I won't be able to juggle this, Diablo 3 and Guild Wars 2

Diablo 3 won't be out until March at the earliest and I doubt GW2 will even be out by this time next year.
Where did you hear that about diablo 3 Morn? Blizzard is known to announce releases 6 weeks in advance. Could be February or even January for all we know.

So Bioware staff has to work this Holiday weekend during the largest beta test? Sucks for them, but guess it's expected with the game's release date and time running short.
You forget that Bioware is in Canada. We already had our Thanksgiving.

Tried playing WoW on your laptop? I guess medium settings should compare to low on on TOR.

I thought I was gonna get an email for 'BETA Testing Code (Event 1)' but I randomly went to http://www.swtor.com/tester, RSVPed, and now I'm downloading.

Anyone else having an issue where you can login to the site fine but cannot login to the client? I've reset my password a bunch of times and still no dice :/
Do you smash your keyboard and alt+f4 right away?
I waited a bit while the client was "logging in" and got prompted to some security question stuff.
Have you added security questions to your account? If you havent, you should add 3 and see if it fixes the problem. Earlier, the client told me I had to upgrade my account to those questions to login to the program.
Finished downloading, but installing is taking so long! Going to defrag after its done...

Last weekend the beta test ran from late afternoon EST to around midnight EST on Sunday night. It will probably be the same for this next beta test.
Someone on the beta test forums said 2 pm on Friday to 12pm Monday. No idea where that came from.
So what happens after I do this test weekend with my curse promo code?
Do they bumb the Nov 11th or whatever deadline date back so I can automatically get into the next one and release more promotional codes for people who haven't signed up without a code by Nov X?

I was able to RSVP through http://www.swtor.com/tester nice. I was wondering if we need to DL the entire 20GB's again or will it just patch?

Wth I thought the Nov 11th testers would get an email for the client.
Edit: Logged in and RSVPd and I see the download button now. What are the exact dates for this test, can't find taht info anywhere.

I just used the client from the weekend test two Weeks ago, and it works, but you're downloading an additional 12 gigs

thx, I just went ahead and uninstalled my 11th-13th build. It only took me 2-3hrs anyway and im low on HDD space.

O wow, theres a new build? Thought all I needed to do was patch since I was in the 11/11/11 weekend beta

Rumor has it that this client is the gold candidate , so at best I am guessing early access could just patch this one if needed. But more likely it will be another download which is fine since it runs so damn fast.

The past 3 clients have been rumored to be release candidates, so I wouldn't really put too much stock in any of these rumors. Wont be surprised if they release one final build just before launch to be the actual release candidate that will be patched to early release
Unlikely. The game requires "two", but it's more that your single core CPU is probably too slow to handle the game anyway.
Well considering we have to redownload the entire client for build updates I wouldn't really be that sure. Even if they could just do a patch, it seems much cleaner to just require everyone to redownload regardless so you don't run into weird issues.
Reinstall the launcher. Happens to me a lot.
