SWTOR is a definite buy for me because I love Bioware RPG storytelling (usually). The leveling looks solid. Whether or not I stick with it and subscribe for more than 2 months is up to the quality of the endgame.

There is no way you could do all eight stories in two months. I'd bet the hardcore might achieve one in a month if they have a lot of time.

Plus then there are companion stories to work on.

So are people going to party up to take on challenges, or do you mostly do things with companions/crew?
It seems like the companions just give the anti-social people the option they have always longed for.

I imagine tight nit guilds etc will continue to level togeather etc.

For small things I'd be using CC's but for the most part it seems I'll be needing to group up with other individuals.

It wouldn't be an MMO without that aspect.

CC's are just like pets, not exactly helpful doing big quests and challenging larger mobs....

Group and party play will definitely be a part of SWTOR. Not you're going to breeze through those flashpoints alone.

Hold on, friend! I'd love to share with you some swell news about the Windows 8 Metro UI! Wait, where are you going?
Has anyone from Canada gotten a beta invite or has it just been US folks so far?

Flashpoints and raids are going to require grouping with others. PVP probably will have some wanting to group as usual with most PVP in MMOs.

There are already Canadians in the test.

Thanks :) I'll keep checking the email then. I signed up 2 years ago or something heh

Do you guys think we'll be able to go into more detail with the character creation then just a few sliders?

I always look forward to the character creation section of MMO's the most as odd as that sounds.

I think they'll tweak it (again) before launch. I doubt it's currently an issue, but as we move closer to launch, they'll start "polishing" it and adding more options.

That's what I'm expecting but some reassurance is nice. Thanks.

Someone just posted Sith Warrior beta impressions on a certain cake-site
Wasn't me. This guy sounds like he just got in and played the opening. His impressions are from the first day or two of play. Honestly, the way he writes makes him sound like a total newb.

I'm level 32. If I was going to blow my NDA so flagrantly there is much more I could spill.

Also, some of the details in his account are just wrong. Keep that in mind.

I've yet to see a credible, high level account of the game. Everything thats been posted in the most recent months have all sounded like they wrote about the game in the first ten levels. It's been now quite some time since I left the beta, but still - not credible sources of info coming out.

I think that's because the people with the patience and temperance to get to the high levels have the patience and temperance not to blow the NDA to pieces.

Also they probably want to keep playing. Heh.

He got to level 8. He just finished Korriban and thats all. Most of what he wrote is retarded, and from the perspective of someone new to MMO's and new to SWTOR. It's the equivalent of taking someone who has never played WoW, letting them play for a a day, then asking them to give detailed impression of World of Warcraft.

"I dunno about Razorhill, was a bit strange, hopefully there are more dungeons in the game then Rage Fire Chasm."

So what you're saying is is it isn't worth looking for whatever site its on to read some dumbasses impressions? gotcha.

Better than nothing. I'm starting to head towards the indifferent phase again as I'm sick of getting scraps from everywhere. That beta leak was the best thing that happened to TOR this year.

Agreed. At this point only a beta invite could pique my interest. Just reading about it is getting old.

It seems like everyone has gotten a beta invite, but they have not. On the beta servers, at peak time, 0.03% of the people who signed up , are actually playing. (an exact percentage btw). During off-peak hours, you have less then 0.01 percent of those who signed up playing. I hope that puts it into perspective the amount of people actually playing/got a beta invite.

Not many people have beta invites, and the game is a good 5-6 months away from launch at the earliest.

Give it time, I am sure Bioware is going to blow the doors off whats available.

I knew it wasn't you. Just skimmed through it (didn't want any story spoilers) and I could see, that he made some dark side choices.
Anasui Kishibe said:
thanks, and how many hours per act? Either it's pretty short or people are just devouring it
200 hours in total (rough number) with the first act being the biggest. Someone from the beta can probably confirm this, but if they do, I'll report them

Oh God.

The second set of flashpoints.

There is so much I want to say but cannot. Breathing even a word of what I just played would probably get me kicked out of beta.

Make a set of notes that you can publish the second the NDA drops! :)
