We've had major devs all tell us PS5 hardware is game-changing but here the level of discussion is 'lol damage control' from Xbox fanboys.
I'm talking about being able to discuss the former sensibly.

I own xbox 360 arcade 360 elite 360 slim the original xbox and I will own an xbox one. I love collecting them I've over 28 systems. I didn't buy one because all the games are day one of pc so why would I pay 500 odd.
When they go down to cheap I'll happily buy one because I love gaming.
Look all I'm saying is both sides both are embarrassing. Sony fans with the "damage control" and xbox with the childish comments. Some of it is funny like the meme thread but every topic is full of it.

In general, the PS5 design and Xbox designs are extremely similar, just that the Xbox scores points in several areas, and the PS5 in others.

For me, I honestly don't care. As far as I'm concerned, the specs are irrelevant to me. This gen, I picked up the xbox one x on 3 separate occasions and each time, I sold it after a month or two.
The first time was when red dead redemption 2 came out. I was unhappy with the graphics on the pro so I got an x and rdr2. The resolution was better but the graphica where the same. I played for a while, got bored of rdr2 so I picked up some xbox exclusives, got bored of Halo 5 and the same boss battles, did not enjoy gears 4 so I sold it.
The second time i picked up the x was actually for kinect surprisingly. It had way better tracking for just dance and I held onto it for a few months. Sold it when I got tired of just dance.
Last time I picked one up was a few weeks ago. It was dirt cheap so i figured I'd get it. Picked it up, signed up for 15 months of gamepass ultimate, picked up a few more games. I tried a few games on gamepass ultimate but nothing grabbed my attention. The only game I enjoyed was MCC. The multiplayer was nostalgic and dat shield regen sound
. After a couple of weeks, I got rid of it. I enjoyed MCC but I don't need xbox for that. I have a 360 with the games which I play frequently and I have a more powerful pc than the next gen consoles.
So what's the blurb trying to say? If Microsoft don't bring out some new fresh IP that's not tired, I couldn't care less whether the console is 5tf or 100tf. I already complain about my pc for being a device that plays console ports at higher res. I don't need another device that does it worse. If I'm buying a console, it's because it has a game I really want to play.
Microsoft has identified this problem and attempted to rectify it by purchasing a bunch of studios. Let's see if what they put out is actually interesting.

Not trying to upset anyone... but
I know Cerny said they are using RDNA2, but then didnt show lots of the features of RDNA2.
I've seen some tech sources say it's possible they are using RDNA1 with some RDNA2 technologies bolted on and then just calling it #2
If it really is RDNA1 with some extra features, wouldn't that cut down the efficiency gains and widen the performance gap?
What is the performance gain of RDNA1 over GCN?
I think RDNA2 is like 25% or something?
Considering that the ps5 was obviously developed earlier intending to release sooner which didnt happen... I'm wondering what the odds of it being TRUE RDNA2 are.

My issue at the Xbox one launch was that you had people saying the x1 was "bad" in comparison to the ps4, while the ps4 was obviously better, by no means was the x1 "bad"
A lot of sony fans are so insane that they get very triggered and simply can not take a reality where xbox has better hardware.

The problem with Xbox One was never the power defecit, it was that it started out saddled with bearing the cost of Kinect and was more expensive than PS4 at launch. The TVTVTV focus early on and the long-term lackluster range of exclusives just sealed the deal.
The best laugh about this is the insinuation that power had any real bearing on how the machine did, the way the fanboys are clinging onto this idea like its the holy fucking grail of console success is hilarious to me. Especially when the scenario that they are making out to be the one in which their side "wins" is exactly where we stand today, and... well they are still "losing" the sales and mindshare battle.
The thing that drives these knuckleheads mad is that at least subconsciously they have to realize all of this. The golden dawn (more puke green dawn I guess as its Xbox) is always around the corner and their messianic leader Phil will get them there

The long and short is that Series X is more powerful hardware. How perceivable that difference actually is will only be able to be demonstrated when we start seeing the games and then the forum can go back to more rational discussion. We still don't know price, games that are lined up, or any other potential services or neat features that might influence one to purchase one over the other. In the interim, any Sony fan who is trying to argue that the PS5 hardware is somehow superior is going to be met with a lot of criticism.

Xbox fans just went through many years of pain. When the X launched, they had their first taste of a "win." And they enjoyed it, despite it not really amounting to much in reality. Now, they have a new "win." Their theoretical number for the start of a new generation is higher than that of the Sony fan's theoretical number.
So, of course they are going crazy with it. After that many years of losing, it's only natural. Let them enjoy it for now, I say.
