I hope what is on sale changes over time because I don't see much to buy. Or better, I see some games I would love to buy but without Steam keys I won't (thanks Ubisoft).

Someone tell me, is War of the Roses good?

I only played it for the first few weeks (I hear a lot has changed since then) and while it's fun, Chivalry is better. War of the Roses does not have that satisfaction of landing a clean hit on your enemy, many times you will think you hit him square in the head but WHOOPS only hit his armor and caused 0 damage. Character customization is pretty good, but it kept resetting my loadouts all the time and I got frustrated. I think the playerbase is fairly small now, not as big as compared to Chivalry for sure. I say skip it and play more Chivalry.

Damn. I've been wanting to get I Am Alive on PC since I built one. Loved it on 360, and it'll probably have a place in my top 10 once this gen is finally over. I really want it on Steam, though. The price is right, but I'm not going to spend money without knowing what kind of DRM it comes with.

Yeah, including the sales due to start later into the event there are over 1000 items scheduled to be discounted.

Note the dates. The C&C bundle isn't due to be discounted until July 7th.

I'm glad you've only begun that now as I just realised that GAF parses quotation marks in tags, so the links don't work. I've updated the pastebin accordingly.

Ran the list through a script, so some might be wrong, especially the bundled games.

List of games you can activate on Steam. Some were a bit confusing, mixed steam codes / links to both non-drm and steam version in same page, so it's hard to know if only the non-drm version will be on sale or both versions.

Far be it from me to deny my account a game I don't yet have. ;)

Edit: I think Treasure Hunt in Alaska may be mistakenly listed too as I can't find it in the registry. As an aside, I'll definitely be jumping on 007 Legends (that price is about $15 less than the cheapest retail copy I've come across), though I'm still unsure if I want to throw $30 down on Fast & Furious this close to Steam's own Summer Sale.

Edit edit: Wait a minute, I wouldn't think that Acti could provide Amazon with keys without being able to sell the game, which it can't do without the rights to the James Bond license...

I was hoping that Amazon would at least match the 75% off on CKII DLC they had 192 days ago. Seems like they have stopped being aggressive with sales like Steam did a few years ago as well.

You may want to put an Origin only tag next to that C&C Ultimate Collection. It's soul crushing to imagine that it redeems on steam

Edit: Expanding on the subject of Breach earlier: I'm also able to get cheap copies of NBA 2K9, problem is I had to add the one I bought for myself to my account through the disc without a key, so I'm not sure it would do any good, or if there is a key anywhere on the disc (couldn't find it).

Speaking of Dark Souls, I can't get the game to run for me again, I guess it's a W8 problem. I tried every fix possible for GFWL etc. It still crashes as soon has a savegame is loaded :/

The registry listing has seen some tinkering recently so perhaps Acti has worked something out. We'll find out in a week.

Haha, I looked this up and apparently it's because somebody forgot to attach keys to the retail packaging. As per this page, US copies install to Steam seamlessly while international customers have to e-mail 2K with the exact error message received during installation to receive a key. Seems the cheapest copy I can get my hands on is on eBay ($23; UK seller).

runs great on my win 8 machine....

delete game and all dsfix files on your comp and reinstall-hope that helps (my game kept crashing not finding .exe, and having an older version of the dsfix on my PC was the problem)

$4.95 here from Amazon with free shipping (Prime). Crazy. Guess without a key that's not very helpful to you though.

Well it's been ages now, I think he has learned his lesson.

With the Amazon sale being the disappointment that it is, will Steam's be the one that saves the Summer for us all?

Also, where the hell has GMG been? They had no weekend deal. Do they usually host summer sales? I don't remember.
