Bets on mission length guys?

I'll be generous and say 40 mins each

Casino-Royale.gif

It will be stretched by navigating the open world. The missions themselves 20 minutes tops.

Edit: Top of the page reminder: Everyone buy and play Xrd.

Is it a good idea getting TrackMania Stadium at this point? I am only interested in multiplayer and not necessarily with hard core players. I am skipping Turbo because of UPlay, I understand Lagoon may come to Steam/ManiaPlanet at a later date but it will not have any traction with the community if Valley is anything to go by.

gamesplanet has it for £1.99 that's why I ask.

I wouldn't use Valley as any sort of benchmark for the popularity of the game on Steam. Trackmania 2 was Maniaplanet exclusive for what felt like years. They only put it on Steam after it was abundantly clear that their exclusive platform experiment was an absolute failure. A lot of potential customers probably just lost interest in the game before it ever released on Steam.

That said, I don't think Trackmania is ever going to have a large community playing it. It's fun but it gets hard really quick and that will push away most casual players. A bit like the Trials series.

Read Only Memories has a really nice soundtrack.
Nice enough that I just spent better part of an hour looking up how to deal with headerless OGG files in FSB5 container the game seems to use.

Tales from the Borderlands is pretty good. At least it's better than Walking Dead season 2. As soon Im finished with it I'll jump straight to Game of Thrones.

Steam-GAF's Official Ambassador to Gaming-GAF
LEGO® Worlds Announcement: Update 4 News!

…hey, Hey, HEY!!!

It’s about that time again, update news o’clock!

This will be our last update for 2015, and as it is the season of sharing and being together, it seemed fitting that this update should feature the inclusion of Split-Screen Multiplayer! Drop Player 2 in on your controller (or a second one), and start co-operating. You will play nicely and co-operate rather than just shooting each other, won’t you?

But wait, what’s this? More bricks for our Master Builders? Yep. Here’s a teaser of just a few of them, but last time I counted there were exactly “quite a lot” – we’ll reveal more soon:

zHUn6cs.jpg

So what else?
  • New characters, creatures and vehicles to discover.
  • A fun new item to help bring colour into the world.
  • An explosive new prop to play with.
  • More additional quests.
  • Improvements to Brick Building controls, especially on controllers.
  • A proper way to put items away.
  • A seasonal surprise in the customizer.

As usual, we’ll go into more detail and add a full set of patch notes when the update rolls out, so you can also check the issues that have been addressed.

Keep your eyes peeled for the update! Speak soon!

Many Thanks,
The LEGO® Worlds team

I don't really need a tag, but I figured I'd get one to make people jealous. Is it working?
Gentle people of the Steam community thread.

If I got someone in the glorious South Americas to buy Bioshock Infinite's Season Pass for me off Nuuvem (Currently R$14,99--$3.87USD), would I have any trouble activating the key?

Each? I go with the usual 10 minutes each.

It isn't really that hard, huh. Devs make a build of the game in some form, and hire someone to port it. Done. I dont know what the hell you're asking lol. Every dev does a fuckload of builds that are not available to the consumers for obvious reasons.

Woah, each post from you is always rude. I don't know what you are saying. I'm only saying this game is still missing on PC while it was promised to launch something like one year ago or so, with a "demo" build which actually never arrived.
From the link I posted it seems the PC build for Chromophore is done, since they are doing the WiiU port, so why it's not released yet?
That's the content of my post.

Just played the first episode and yeah it's actually better than I expected. Also made me want to play Borderlands 2 again.

As awesome as the WiiU is the most flipping annoying thing about it is trying to communicate with someone on your friends list basically.Urgh!

Ozium what's you characters name in Xenoblade Chronicles X so I can join your squad?

Press L + A to recommend this message.

it's that time of year again where i install a bunch of games on my laptop before i go on vacation and play mini metro for 15 minutes on the plane and don't touch the rest of the games the whole time!

That's me in a nutshell. Well the installing lots bit as I seldom play anything much I install these days. I guess my enthusiasm to play what I started to install evaporated by the time it's downloaded most of the time. Rubbish Internet be damned!

I know question is will it be before or after RDR PC release :D

I'm sure we'll all be playing Red Dead on PC right around the time Microsoft brings 360 emulation and it's library to Windows.

Don't stop believin'~~~ hold on to the feeling

I'm playing Y5 atm and damn this game could really go with some visual benefits if PC release can allow modding for it.
Y5 looks OK, but the aliasing etc. on PS3 leaves so much to be desired.

Seems like they're shoving that game out the door quick.

Minecraft Ep 4 is out 22nd December

I swear TT can't help but release every one of their episodes on the same day as something else.

I'm surprised this is releasing so fast though o_O

It doesn't say that at all. A build can be ported while its not complete. They can be 50% done with it and still start the port there.

No. As in, "No, there wouldn't be any issues", not "No, I won't help you", which isn't to suggest that I can help you.

Let's see, the Mario Edutainment titles, Zelda CDi titles, various arcade titles (latest being Pokken), some of the wierd licence transfer things like Rare Replay and what not and the above post by TDL and probably others but Nintendo isn't as constricted to it's own hardware as you might think. Mobiles around the corner so who know but no one is stopping Nintendo putting their stuff on PC. Even if they put thier back catalog from NES, SNES, N64 and so on so not to canabilise their current platform they'd make a ducking killing. I'd buy 1,000 copies of A Link To The Past to give every Tom, Dick and Harry who hasn't played it if they brought it to Steam.

Doesn't help TT that the game is underperforming.
Maybe it is on consoles but Steamspy shows it doing pretty well when compared to other TT releases.

Also, I'm surprised by how well TT games do in general on PC after seeing those numbers. Pretty sure they could release Turd: A Telltale Series and it would do nearly 200k without much of a problem

What I would like is season 2 of TWAU but with GOTS2, Batman, TWD:M and their supposed Marvel project all happening I can't see it coming for a while, if ever

Just did preliminary game of the year list (to be updated with last minute additions). MGS5 is currently 8th on the list even though I highly enjoyed 98% of it. It would have been #1 or #2 last year. I guess this year was pretty decent year overall.

Just saw that it's possible to trade unclaimed keys on Groupees and even got a trade offer, someone wanted to trade my Still Life 2 for Coffin Riders, sure I'm in but I have no idea if the key for Still Life 2 is used or not. Great idea though, the trading of games.

Yeah. The problem is afaik all the games that came before they introduced this "groupees" library are shown as unclaimed.

In my opinion, nobody has dropped the ball more than Sega when it comes to bringing their Japanese games onto Steam. They are a legit PC publisher with studios like Creative Assembly in their fold. They should not have to be convinced about the benefits and viability of having their back catalogs on Steam. On top of that Valkyria saw much more success on the platform than a lot of other Japanese games. And then they followed it up with a shitty 3DS port and nothing else. Meanwhile publishers like Tecmo and Namco and even newbies like Idea Factory International have managed to flood Steam with their titles. But Sega are still holding on to stuff like Vanquish or Atlus games because reasons.

Pretty sure they could release Turd: A Telltale Series and it would do nearly 200k without much of a problem

You don't even have to speculate. I'm pretty sure the working title of their GOT game was 'turd'.

Vanquish is a weird one as one hand you have to think how many engineering employees at Platinum know the ins and outs of that game to bring it over still work there or how many could they spare to make it cost effective but if we say at a price of $20 which is more than fair and a wild stab in the dark and say it does 50k units launch week and 100k after a month that's $2m right there. Minus 30% and we've got $1.4m. I mean these are wild figures though conservative nonetheless but thinking more grounded say it will take 10 members of engineering staff @ $40-50k a year salary each (no idea what Japanese rates would be), couple 100k for QA and a 6 month dev time as well as some other costs you'd have to fucking tank not to be turning a profit.

And I mean Platinum is putting their new stuff on PC these days. They have the experience. Short of the Vanquish codebase being complete spaghetti, I don't think it would be a massive undertaking to make the port. And honestly, I think Vanquish would sell a whole lot of units which could make it worth it to undertake even a reasonably expensive port project.

I guess the silence from Sega is the annoying part. Valkyria came out over a year ago and it exploded on Steam. Then they said that they were looking through their back catalog to see what they could bring on over to Steam. And then all of 2015 passed and the only thing we got was bleh...

God this thread is a breath of fresh air. So sensible with lots of games recommended. Why do I ever leave SteamGAF?

Question: I've been out of the PC gaming loop for a while. I need a good controller. Do I need to install something on my PC to get a DS4 working?

Afaik Durante (or someone else close to developing, not quite sure anymore) said sth. about the japanese ports, that almost every port would turn a profit, even if game XYZ would just sell under 10k or something like that at a 20-30$ price point as long as their initial programming was not a mess.

Like I dont understand e.g. why Saint Seiya is being ported, but Sword Art Online not, while the latter nowadays has a far bigger fanbase.

I use DS4Windows and it works fine.

Also, I finally got the damn Xrd screenshots uploaded to flickr, and it doesn't look like they've compressed them. So that's nice. They're at 7680x4320, and here's the album. I'd say 56k warning but I don't think that's enough of a warning. These pics are huge.

Imagine all Yakuza games on Steam :D I think that Sega would earn some money with that move :D

I would definitely buy (all of the Yakuza games on Steam).

I don't know how many others would though. I mean, I have seen lots of games that I consider to be just superb, not selling nearly as many copies as I'd have liked them to. I really hope Yakuza games are different in this regard, and will sell tons.
