Ah. That was in regard to a marketable item, not a game.
Calling it. System Shock 3 going to pull a Bioshock Infinite twist.

wat is system shock? some bioshock clone?
tell me more.
I don't care what anyone says, I liked Infinite.
the only real twist about bioshock infinite was that people liked it
I don't care what anyone says, I liked Infinite.
People liking a good game is a pretty big twist.
I still don't understand how anybody has issues with pursuer. He's like the easiest thing to parry in the whole game + you can use the big crossbowy thingies to kill it in 2 hits.
bioshock infinite is not a good game. it's okay to like it, but it's not a good game.
That Isometric Fallout thread is a god damn shambles. Same reason why we rarely get turn based JRPGs anymore, people think it's an antiquated system. Annoys me so much.
Because it is an antiquated system. I can't stand that shit.
"i can't stand it" does not equal "antiquated".
It's passive. You should be involved in a game. Not watching X-Files on Netflix and pressing buttons to grind.
Most battles on any given turn based RPG are useless grind. Action RPG's just do it because it's a characteristic of the game, and idiots rage at any progress in gaming.
That's an idiotic stance. Just because you apparently only played bad turn based RPGs doesn't mean that the system is inherently bad. It's passive. You should be involved in a game. Not watching X-Files on Netflix and pressing buttons to grind.

I might need to finally finish playing System Shock 2 at this point.

Well, apparently you are very unlucky in choosing good ones.]I've played many a turn based rpg's[/B]. Grind as gameplay is ridiculous, but neither should it be QTE, or combo button simplicity.
I enjoy pure turn based battles a whole lot more in general. One of the reason Final Fantasy X is my favourite game of the Final Fantasy series despite all its whack.
I don't mind grinding either though. Random battles on the other hand can stay a thing of the past.

This discussion made me create a thread I had been thinking about for a few years

There's a truly riveting Valve thread on the Gaming side once again, absolutely mindblowing tale about why no valve maek gaem
I can remember only one good turn based combat in JRPG - Breath of Fire V (but sadly, game flawed any many other aspects)
BoFQ is a fantastic game.
It's only flaw is that it's just too good.
Joking obviously, but I can't think of many flaws of BoFQ.

A thread on how Valve doesn't make games, by people who don't know how games are made. It's kind of amazing.

GIVE ME THEIR NAMES
So cold right now so I'm sitting with a blanket wrapped around me.
Good point.No Steam/GOG release?
