I tried to romance her by standing still in front of her reflection. She blinked. I moaned.

I've been playing for hours now on PC despite owning it already on my PS5 Pro. The mods for PC are truly legendary and the game is a perfect port to PC. I'm so happy for Shift Up that this game is truly being loved by so many gamers. Excellent game that's well deserving of all the love it gets.

Great news, ccu gonna be easy beaten on weekend and these numbers are after vocal minority boyvotting after denuvo news. Looking forward to what they are cooking next(witches and sequel)

Aside from (potentially) better performance and mods, is there a reason to double-dip if you already have the PS5 version? Added content, etc...?

I expected it to do well but not that much.. Though it would reach 50-60k.
Weekend it go up to 140-150k doubling the previous highest former playstation exclusive game outclassing and many well known ip's. Crazy. I also hope this means that they will release Stellar Blade 2 day 1 on pc.

Higher than Horizon Zero Dawn is actually crazy, considering that this is not a normie type of game. Not only because of the game itself (new IP, unknown devs, etc) but the genre, hack and slash, being very niche. The best seller is Devil May Cry, but that's a 3-gen-old saga.
Whats even more niche on PC are action adventure single player games. None of said sony games have done very well on PC despite being some of the best selling games in the industry.

Sony not only funded the game, but have provide support in many areas. And they have publish the game, that means distribution all around the globe, strong marketing campaigns, dubbing in many language, physical media support, etc. That's a lot! In Brazil, for example, many publishers don't care about dubbing their games and in some cases, not even put subtitles in it (hello Square Enix).

Wanted to play this playstation but the price is way too high so I waited got the pc release, I've now played the demo and enjoyed it, looked at the pc price... Way too high.

CD keys has a discount which helps but it's still very high price so I'm actually going to be smart about it and play other games first in the hope of a further discount as I'd like the premium edition.

I'd have to guarantee 60 hours of gameplay to pay £60 for the premium edition that I can get at that price.

Its bizarrely expensive for what I saw in the demo, good but not full high price good.
Same. Not that i would never pay 70CHF for a game, but i certainly wont pay it for a game that came to PC later. Even if it's not that much later

Audience fit matters a lot for PC.

Things like Uncharted or Ratchet and Clank don't do numbers on Steam because the audience for them either already played them on PS or avoids them entirely.

Soulslikes are very big on PC though and well, you can see the results.

Why don't you include Helldivers 2 and Destiny 2 there? They are Sony games too

So? They also don't own the Spider-Man IP...and? Insomniac is poor because of it?

Yes of course Disney still owns Spiderman IP, but Spiderman game is more 'sticky' to Sony, ie it's highly unlikely it goes to anyone else like EA or Microsoft because Sony ties it with Spiderman movies every time they renew the agreement.

But Stellar Blade is different. Shift Up may choose to publish the sequel themselves if they choose to, since now they are far richer company since going public

None of those games are the good ones that would move numbers though?

I'd happily buy the original Uncharted Trilogy and Ratchets on PC, day one 🤷‍♂️

Bit of a moot point.

But Sony doesn't own the IP
The secret to a successful gaming platform, is that you don't focus on who owning the IP as long as the game is good. MS mistakenly thinks they would magically become better at gaming if they just buy a lot of IPs.

The quality of the output is what matters. If you forget that you are not playing games.

Well deserved.
Sexiness may have played a role but it is a fantastic game with excellent gameplay and atmosphere.
Can't wait to replay it.

best-performing PlayStation Studios release .. lol

Its a third party game, it doesn't matter who published the game because Shift Up is not owned by Sony
That's how we describe these games. Doesn't have to be a first-party studio or owned IP.

Now imagine what would happen if they brought demon souls and gt7 to PC, give PC players what they want and not crap spiderman.
