From all the games and media they got inspiration from, Souls games was not one of them. Main inspiration was from Nier Automata. Other inspirations are Bayonetta, and Alita Battle Angel.

It's not 'souls-like'... please stop putting games in these tiny boxes!

It's a mix of Souls, Nier, and Bayonetta, but it's clearly neither of those specifically at the same time. Stellar Blade is not overly original but also not a direct copy-paste formula from another game. Not to mention this game has a lower difficulty option alongside multiple accessibility ones.

Do remember that people also called GOW (2018) souls-like, I mean just the camera being from behind, and the game requiring some dodging and blocking is all you need to be labeled as souls-like nowadays.

This is getting absurd.

In the demo version, you can play a portion of the game's first section. If you play the full game after completing the demo, the saved data will sync and EVE's journey will continue from the saved data right before the final boss fight in the demo.

If you have the demo keep your system offline, they are revoking the demo contracts so you'll get booted out and a lock symbol next to it until it's properly released.
