Wow.....you people are drawing straws here.

Most of you weren't buying an X1 anyways with the I guess ill wait comments.

Look at any PC port, the communities are drastically smaller then the Xbox ones (titanfall). Its been much better to play games on consoles as community bigger and ita there first.

I don't know, this thread is ridiculous.

Titanfall userbase plummeted on PC because people moved on to other games while xbone was in a software drought. Also the PC version was much better.

Have they ever released on PC? I figure they're just being polite to the question; I don't expect them to port to PC unless actively encouraged by MS themselves for some reason.

SSO will likely remain on XB1 only I reckon.

Well, Isomaniac has been exclusive to Sony and they didn't own any ip until Fuse, that's part of the reason their game never showed up on PC. With Sunset Overdrive though, there is no chain attached. I don't see how unlikely it is for them to bring it to PC.

So there shouldn't be ANY exclusives on any platform? Bloodborne, Uncharted 4, Halo 5, Quantum Break, etc should all come to PC?

Hmmm

Exclusivity is never beneficial to consumers. So as a gamer I don't see how having games tied to one console is a good thing. It's only a tool for a console publisher to sell its product.

Insomniac may not have released any games on PC, but they do develop games on PC. If I remember correctly they had Fuse running on PC, but never released it.

There you go. Where there is smoke....

No plans right now. Read between them lines

Yep. Typical PR speak. If there was absolutely no chance whatsoever, they'd unequivocally state that. (On the other hand, that's what Crytek and Capcom said about Ryse and DR3, and it still came out on PC)

i secretly hope that every exciting console-exclusive game will migrate to PC this generation [because of the similarities in architecture now].

but, i guess it's not a secret anymore...

Bloodborne on xbox 360 would save my friend's wallet quite a bit. My other friend needs Sunset Overdrive on iOS. Who cares what the people actually making and selling the game want to do! Fuck you MS, Sony and Nintendo for dictating what to do with your money. My money goes to EA for releasing their sports games on every platform imaginable #NoGamerLeftBehind

Because you want a console, not a PC.

A lot of people actually prefer them. Yeah, I know, it's shocking.
Prefer them enough to spend $400+ dollars even if they already have a decent gaming PC?

They're never going to convince me to buy an Xbox One if they don't have compelling exclusives. If they keep going to PC then I'll have no reason to pick one up.

I'm only speaking for myself though, I'm sure there are plenty of people who don't have or like gaming PCs, but I'm not them.

I wouldn't hold my breath on this coming out for PC. Not if Microsoft isn't stupid, anyway.

I have no doubt they could bring if to PC but I'm noting that historically they don't tend to. I'd love their games on PC but there's no reason to figure this will end up on PC.

Ruse (Ryse but I'll leave the somewhat appropriate to the thread typo) or Dead Rising 3 are not surprises in context but SSO hitting PC would be pretty unexpected.

Hmmm

I'd say release everything on every platform. The more the merrier in terms of games and gamers. Seriously, exclusives are as ridiculous as region locks in that they're limiting large groups of gamers to play some damn games.

Pretty confident the game will get a port, the other two MS published but not owned games have gotten a port this generation.

It really boils down to whatever deal was made between Insomniac and MS. If it is similar to whatever was done for Gears where MS seemed to, while not owning the IP, have some control over what the Gears games were released on. If Insomniac is able to port the game they will.

Yeah, fuck them for trying to make their products attractive. If I own a successful restaurant I will share every single recipe on the internet so every hungry belly in the world can eat my food.

What am I salty about, that's all I ask. Some people do like the console experience. I do, and I have a gaming PC literally in the same room.

That's what I mean with you not making sense.

A lot of people actually prefer them. Yeah, I know, it's shocking.

Couldn't sound more childish even if you tried, makes it look like you're upset about something.

I also wish people would stop the whole ''but i have a gaming pc as well'' thing, i have owned every single console of the last 15 years (besides the xb1/ps4), not gonna bring that into every thread / discussion etc.

I think this is your own insecurities speaking, but sure. I'm salty as hell.

That's some straight up BS socialist thinking and I don't agree. You don't make a console and then allow all of its games to be playable on some other company's console. Otherwise you have no draw in selling your own console. This is especially true for the xbox one, which is the underdog at the moment. Should people who buy an iOS version of a game or app get the Android version of the game for free later on down the road simply because they switched to a different phone platform? No, because it's a completely different operating system that requires completely different code and work to produce. Devs gotta get paid and same goes for console makers. This isn't some charity just because it would make you personally happy.

Also, why is it that as soon as a game is announced for the xbox one, hoards of people - who love to mock and scorn microsoft (xbox one haters galore) at every possible chance - immediately feel like the game should also come out on pc. How many sony exclusives ever come out on PC? Am i allowed to piss on sony and call them lazy and dumb? It should go both ways. And there's your salt for the day.

How many Sony exclusive devs are really ambiguous in interviews about a PC port?

Dream on. ;)
I don't see it happening. 2 years from now, Xbox Ones will still be sold with Kinect bundled. Friendly bet.

I think for a lot of people Kinect is a selling point. They just have to cut price by 50$ and add a free game and everything will be fineeeee.

Exactly. I think if they remove Kinect, it takes away a great deal of the appeal of the Xbox One, and what makes it so different from the PS4, even if there aren't a lot of amazing games taking advantage of Kinect. You get a console primarily for the games, but the other features and capabilities, especially ones like the Xbox One has, are almost certainly important selling points also. To sell the Xbox One without Kinect would be severely shortchanging their whole vision of the system, which is why I feel confident it will never happen.

This is the most popular sunset overdrive thread in weeks. So is it the game suddenly really awesome to so many people because it might be on PC? Or was it always a cool game with everyone and they just never wanted an X1 for?

It's the curse of the Xbox console. People will always think every exclusive will come to PC. Someone should do a study.

Nice PC version you say Insomniac? The theme of 3rd party xbox exclusives seem to console exclusive. I wonder how it will look on PC.

If they didn't want people to speculate especially with the ports of exclusive xbox games to pc, they should have said they don't respond to rumors. That would leave people unable to think it's happening like a "No comment ;)" would.

For me from all the footage i've seen so far it just seems way too slow and the aiming looks bad because you can't do movement plus aiming as well on a console.

120fps / higher resolutions / good AA and way better controls would do wonders with this game.

Controversy is what fuels threads. The actual game doesn't seem to get people excited nearly that much.

Is this a joke? You guys say that it's good that Microsoft is releasing all their exclusives to Pc. That's a fucking joke, then what is the point In buying an Xbox One? If all their exclusives come to pc then their console is absolute. What I think and I think patcher is right, is that Microsoft is moving away from consoles. Since Pc gamers are use to waiting for AAA games, why should they buy a Xbox?
