Why is it that the guys working on these Pokemon games can't stop the framerate slowdown in any scene that has anything going on in the background while battling? I can't even use the 3D without it dropping to 30.
XD didn't really have that much of a problem, even though it was on the gamecube. Though the models over all are less lively than Stadium's models anyway.

Yeah, I meant the ones being put out on the 3DS. ORAS is still suffering from XY's issues.
I guess. I feel like they would develop some way to work wtihin those constraints... Does that mean the New 3DS will run these things better?

Capcom made Resident Evil Revelations at 30 with 3D tho... I think? The tests so far doesn't list if its 3D
They probably simply lazy to maximize the system and they realize that most people will be battling in the dull ass blue room in the battle arena with no option to edit it.

Console optimization is complicated, if it comes down to hardware, and I easily believe it does, I appreciate that they prioritized getting the game looking nice in 2D over 3D.
If they patch in use of the better hardware on New 3DS, that'd be rad.
You're not wrong about Stadium being better in terms of animations.

Yeah I can't wait to get my hands on the New 3DS. Did they really say its gonna be called that in english tho? I haven't seen any Australian ads for it on GAF.

Oof Survivor Series was tough to get through. Main was good but bogged down by overbooking and wacky WWE logic.
Yeah I'm a little salty.
With that said, while the models themselves look better the animations are limited. They no longer move naturally like animals, they are really stock and stiff compared to the fluid animations of old 3d games.

The only good thing to come out of this payperview was when Brie kissed AJ, but not because that closed mouth kiss was particularly interesting, but because directly afterwards they fed into my Brie X Nikki S&M ship.
I may or may not have drunkenly written a fanfic of that.
They would, compare Mewtwo and kangaskhan from Stadium to their X/Y models and it's night and day.
This might simply be because they have more animations for each pokemon, they have animations from neutral to damage and neutral to attack while X/Y they just jump to the animation without actually worrying about where the pokemon is at. It makes battles go faster. Though there is no excuse for the stiff idle animations.

The differences in animation between Stadium and X/Y is also because of the fact Stadium was made by EAD/HAL while X/Y is just Gamefreak.

Well, what did they expect me to do? They have twin sisters who hate each other and one becomes the personal assistant of the other for a month and has to do everything she says or she's fired. How am I not supposed to read into this?
True Hal has always been good with animations. Though honestly, I always felt like X/Y are actually super boring to look at in battle.
I know they have a lot more to worry about than just in battle stuff. But despite everything being in 3D it doesn't really feel all that better from Gen 5. I thought it would be closer to Stadium and stuff, but I was probably being silly.
They do need to remove the stupid platforms under each pokemon when they come out. At least outside of water battles. It looks really bad and disconnects to where you are battling.

Yeah, that shit never happens, and even when it just did it wasn't very good. It was essentially Brie pushing her face close to AJ's for a couple seconds.
And hey, that ending was pretty great. After being a Ziggler fan for my entire time watching wrestling it has finally payed off.
